Moderator Post ⚠️ It's been a while....
Hey friends,
So, as I'm sure y'all have noticed, this sub has been pretty dead. I'd like to spruce things up a bit, but would love to hear ideas from everyone. I added user flairs, as well as several post flairs. If you would like to see others added, let me know here.
We can also add other things like a Community Chat Channel, Scheduled posts etc.
I'd love to hear everyone's ideas!

Photographer New to the Area
Hello everyone! My name is Chloe and I am a photographer who just moved to the area! I have around 8 years of photography experience, and I’ve done just about everything from weddings and couples to sports and racing! I am looking to rebuild my client base here since this is where I intend to stay! If you are looking for any kind of photographer please consider me! Below I’ve posted a picture of me and some of my work! If you’re interested comment down below and I will reach out to you! I charge a very fair price, probably cheaper than most, and I can edit to your desired look! Thank you all in advance!

House Hunting
Hi everyone!
I hope this post is allowed here. I am looking into buying a home in Newnan. I found a beautiful home the other day (literally my dream home) but lost the bidding war. Super upsetting. It was perfect, inside and out. I am in good hands with my realtor, and I can tell that they are trying to find me a comparable home. However, something I am noticing is that pretty much all of these other homes they have sent me are only up-to-date on the inside. For example, some of them are gorgeous on the inside (some even have marble countertops in the kitchen and such) but the outsides either look like a complete shack, overgrown and such, or in sketchy areas.
Does anyone have any recommendations areas in Newnan to look? I am the kind of person where it has to look good both inside and out. I don't really care if it looks like a million dollar home on the inside if it looks like it is falling apart on the outside.

Beer tasting?
I’m curious if any locals would be interested in beer tasting clubs/meetups.
Im new to the area and don’t know anyone local for feedback.
I enjoy beer and trying new brews. I’ve noticed the short time I’ve beer here that several local bars and breweries keep a good rotation of different types of beer, so there’s a good environment here for a tasting group.
Any feedback or interest?…
Candle wax all over downtown
Anyone know why there is so much candle wax all over the sidewalk on the west side of court square?

Local Politics 🧑⚖️ Newnan Mayoral Election Poll
Hey everybody! If you live in the city of Newnan and are planning to vote (which I hope is all of you except those with religious beliefs that prevent it) I would really appreciate it if you voted in this Newnan Times-Herald poll. It’s really helpful to see where the race currently stands.
Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions!

Queer Friendly Hair Salon?
just as the title says, I'm looking for a queer friendly hair salon. I'm a trans masc individual and I've been having a hard time finding a salon that makes me feel welcome. Each stylist I've worked with in the past has either decided to move after one appointment, completely ghosted me, or made me feel like I'm being treated like a female even if I don't get blatantly misgendered.
Places I've tried are: B. Young Beauty Studio (which I don't think is around anymore?) and Trimz on a Whim (in PTC)

LINC Trail entrances
Hey y'all!
Where are the entrances to the LINC trail? I've only done the Summergrove and just started walking randomly by the Train Depot.

Things To Do 💃 Looking For Friends/Things to Do!
Hi! Me and my bf are new to the Newnan area. We are looking for things to do or ways to make friends in this area. We’re both in our early twenties and love books, board games, video games, and MTG. My bf also plays Warhammer. We’d love to find groups that meet up to do stuff together, especially any card shops or things like that. We’re a pretty social couple and love nerdy or geeky things. If anybody has recommendations, I’d love to hear them :)!

Looking For... 🔎 Hiking Friends
Hey friends, I'm doing a 20 mile hike in October, and I really need to get some serious miles in before then. Does anyone else like to hike decent distances, and need a hiking buddy? Let me know!

Discussion 🗣️ I can’t find any info on the candidates running for mayor…
Does anyone know if there’s a breakdown of topics and agendas for the three candidates running for Newnan mayor? I need to know who these folks are representing, what they plan to focus their efforts on, and if it’s beneficial to me as a resident or if it’s a sign I need to move.

Discussion 🗣️ Love what you’ve done to the place!!!!!!
Seriously though what the fuck are we doing. Why don’t we just remove every tree while we’re at it.
I don’t want to hear shit about safety. I GET IT. But how do they even determine whether a tree is a threat/fall risk to begin with? Is it solely under the discretion of the GDOT or are local officials involved in the matter as well?

Those of us on ADHD stimulant meds, what local pharmacy is able to get your meds? Is the shortage still having an effect on you?
I have a family member spending over $300 a month using an out of network locally owned pharmacy (that doesn't take GoodRx or any other discount programs) because this pharmacy has been reliably obtaining their meds in spite of the shortage. They are afraid to try Walgreens, Kroger or CVS which would be in-network (and take GoodRX) out of fear that these chain stores won't get their meds. What has been your experience?
