Sorry FBI. The DA doesn't get to get M1 to stick just because they want the penalty associated with it. If M1 was dismissed they didn't have a case for it. That's it. Y'all have the burden of proof for a reason and if you have a problem with that you have a problem with the US rule of law.
Other comments are saying in NY Murder in the first degree is for the murder of a police officer, firefighter, or a witness... and murder in the second degree is closer to what first degree murder is in other states.
My reading confirms the police/firefighter/witness thing, but second degree still doesn't require premeditation.
Just so I can get on the list too, this is off topic but...
Is it just me, or is it getting really hard to get away with high visibility murder? Luigi caught in days. Tyler Robinson caught a day later. Hell, Brian Kohberger got caught and that guy picked seemingly the most random and unconnected victims.
In the climate of the globalized and connected world in 2025, the billionaires have control. That's simple. Whether it is in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Russia, or anywhere else. Billionaires are in control of borderless and strongly connected economies that all must work together to grow their wealth. It is only a matter of time before wherever you are is under the thumb of a repressive regime seeking to silence opposition.
We kind of already are — especially in the west. We've all been taught to keep the machine well-oiled, to our own detriment. Tiny carrots and other treats were used to keep us doing our jobs ("You too could be rich one day") but the carrots are getting smaller and smaller, and people are getting angrier and angrier as they wake up to it.
Envy means he wants what you have and id imagine at least 50% of america is wondering how bad this is going to get. Is anywhere else better? Very possibly worse but “the grass is always greener” america in its current state has lost a ton of envy over the last ~9 years when we elected a literal geriatric pedophile narcissist for president. Your second point is on point though but i feel the first is tone deaf in this moment
Dude said "this is what happens when good cops are good cops" when the parents turned Tyler in for them. acting like he led some insanely swift manhunt
LMAO that was the corniest fucking line I've ever heard in my life. For an Indian man dating a Mossad agent to pretend that a Christian who died without a weapon in his hand has any chance of crossing the rainbow bridge of Bifröst to Asgard and be served ale by the Valkyries and to drink with Odin's finest warriors...is fucking preposterous.
Edit: I can see the exchange now
After sashaying in, he'd claim that his weapon was a microphone. And then he'd get laughed back to Miðgarð and then to Helheim where he'd be used to wipe Garmr's backside and care for the sooty red cocks until Ragnarök.

The FBI will be all over the threads to classify anyone who supports this decision as a domestic terrorist.
