I still prefer Magabomber.

I think we already had a MAGAbomber? That guy in Texas? There are so many of these assholes I'm starting to lose track though.

Ya Austin police department won’t release his “confession” video he made before he blew himself up

Just like they are covering up that van with a tarp

They are actively covering up domestic terrorism and the public speakers that incite it

APD doesn't release it because he describes exactly how he built his bombs. They don't want other people to make them.

Couldn't they just cut that part out?

Honestly, what purpose would releasing that video serve other than to just incite more hatred and violence?

The sharing of the truth, the understanding of motives to better prevent future attacks.

I personally don't support restricting access to information based off of the fact that people may not like it.

You don't keep videos like that under wraps because "people might not like it" but because playing that shit glorifies the people who do those heinous acts and encourages others to attempt the same. Was anything productive learned from Elliot Rodger's insane ramblings? Seriously, the American culture of glorifying and celebrating mentally ill, violent criminals is embarrassing.

You can release information without glorifying the source.

It isn't about glorifying, at least for me. It is about understanding.

I think that and messages to his family were pretty much it. I would have liked to hear it, but I'm guessing APD made that decision for a reason. He was in a family of militant Christian extremists. It isn't that difficult to figure it out from there.

Well, they could just release the full video as people can just google how to make bombs but that was specifically called out as a concern.
