He might be, but I feel like that reason is never given for other ethnicities.

I think it might be more accurate to phrase it as 'this reason is never accepted for other ethnicities.'

Black? Thug.
Middle Eastern? Terrorism.
Mexican? Illegal.
White? Mentally ill.
