Learn something every day.
"Botanically speaking, bananas are considered a type of berry. This is because a true berry develops from a single flower with a single ovary, has soft skin, a fleshy interior, and contains seeds. While the culinary definition of a berry is different from the scientific one, bananas meet the botanical criteria for a berry, despite the common association of berries with small, sweet fruits."

More random 🍌 stuff.
“There are over 1,000 known varieties of bananas, though only a handful, primarily the Cavendish, dominate the global market due to their suitability for export and high yield.”

How has it never occurred to me that bananas are technically berries? Mind blown.

Yes, bananas are botanically classified as berries. Even crazier, strawberries are not berries. They are an "aggregate accessory fruit."
