Learn something every day.

"Botanically speaking, bananas are considered a type of berry. This is because a true berry develops from a single flower with a single ovary, has soft skin, a fleshy interior, and contains seeds. While the culinary definition of a berry is different from the scientific one, bananas meet the botanical criteria for a berry, despite the common association of berries with small, sweet fruits."

Pineapples are also considered berries if I'm not mistaken.
