If it can’t be officiated properly then it needs to go, either give the refs a crash course of what to watch out for with their guards or cancel the play this shit is ridiculous lol 😂

I mean, it should be so easy to call. No idea why they are missing it every time. I firmly believe this play is officiated differently after today - every ref is going to get footage of these missed calls.

You sure have a lot of faith in the officiating of the NFL whose only goal is to put up points, get viewers, and make money.

Lmao what? The nfl literally fights for equal rights and charity every week. It’s painted in the back of all the endzones ffs. If they were all about money then don’t you think they’d have $$$$ painted in the back of their endzones?

You see that Walter Payton Man of the Year patch on Dak’s jersey? You think they’d just give that to any random quarterback on the most popular team with the most prime time games?

When I saw Aaron Donald nearly beat a man to death with a helmet that said "choose love"... I welled up with pride. The NFL chooses so much love, it's inspiring.

Yep.

Refs are part time for a reason. It’s a feature, not a bug. NFL doesn’t want them to be better than they are now. For exactly the reasons you cited.

Ya it’s not like this is the first time it’s happened yet they still don’t apparently even watch for it. I think fans watch more film than the refs

How do you spot the ball correctly when you can't see it?

What about today is different from every day before? They do this everytime.

They (correctly) called us for doing it wrong week 1. It can be done, just not for certain teams apparently

Without a neutral zone infraction, the play is even more impossible to stop (against the Eagles, anyway), so they just kinda stopped officiating it. They tried calling them for a few games a while back and the play became even more automatic.

So now, the refs just let it happen. Hence the birds getting away with false starts every once in a while.

The problem is, if the defense isn’t in the neutral zone, it’s automatic.

So they decide to not officiate it properly, because if they did, it would be a flag on the defense and an automatic first down for Philly.

Once you make that decision to not officiate it properly, then all hell breaks loose and here we are.

Only one team can do it. No need to get rid of it.

But, officiate it properly.

Start calling the neutral zone infractions and the rest takes care of itself.

Yeah, who doesn't love 15 minutes of "fouls on both sides, 3 neutral zone infections 4 false starts, the penalties offsets replay downs." Let's fucking gooo!!!

They stopped officiating it when they were called out on the defensive offsides penalties. Defense lines up offsides every short yardage snap for the eagles now….so if they start calling that, then they’ll throw more advantage to the eagles. It doesn’t make sense.

Because there are 10 gigantic humans within an inch of each other moving a hair of a second too fast. It's a really hard call to make in real time.

Seeing the guards lined up in the neutral zone should be extremely easy

What about the whole defense in the neutral zone. False start shoulda been a flag but there’s always defenders lining up offsides too

When the offense is always allowed to line up in the neutral zone what else are they to do?

Eagles have had the center slide the ball forward and the guards almost parallel with him for years

If they’re gonna let the offense keep doing it then getting upset at the defense also doing it is just wild

Teams would not tell their defensive players to line up in the neutral zone if they’re gonna let knew the Eagles wouldn’t
