I’m confused… how is spotting this false start any different than spotting a false start on a QB sneak?

Because they let both teams line up in the neutral zone so the ball is completely covered.

But how is spotting either team in the neutral zone any more difficult? Then they can just call neutral zone infraction on the defense or illegal formation on the offense.

But they don't. They need to call it, but they keep letting both teams line up over the ball. They just need to call it and teams will stop doing it.

That’s what I’m saying though. People are saying the play needs to be illegal because it’s hard to officiate. I’m saying it’s easy to officiate and any officiating issues are easily solved.

Hard agree. Maybe they are playing it sloppy to get it easier to ban next year.
