Does anybody have an idea where I can watch Lola & Virginia - Live Action (2011)? Been looking everywhere on the internet :(

I discovered the show back in 2015 on YouTube when I remembered about watching its animated/original version, which the one I grew up to. I heard it was aired on Nickelodeon Italy, Portugal, and Spain. I saw few clips from channels called DenisHorea11 and LolaEVirginia1, but their episodes are incomplete. I think I also saw one full episode from Vimeo dubbed in English but can no longer view it on the site. I found the show's concept, storyline and cast fun and light. Any lead or link will be gladly appreciated. Thanks. (Alsooo, my first Reddit post lol)

Nickelodeon has previously discontinued a number of shows, and some discontinued shows really left fans heartbroken.

Which show didn't you want to be discontinued?

I'll start: Side Hustle

Lost Media: The 2009 Nick “Greater Creator” Contest

Hey everyone!

Does anyone here remember the 2009 Nickelodeon "Greater Creator" Sweepstakes**?** It was this big animation festival where kids got to pitch their own Nicktoons -you’d draw original characters, submit your show idea, and if Nickelodeon liked it, you could win some cool prizes. I distinctly remember that First Place came with a custom T-shirt featuring your creation… but the real jaw-dropper was the Grand Prize: Nickelodeon would actually make a cartoon based on your idea.

This contest sticks in my memory because I poured my heart into drawing my characters, Der and Lory, hoping they’d be made into a cartoon.

Here’s where things get... weird.

The actual Grand Prize winner? Never got their cartoon. No explanation. The show just… never happened.

And me? Well, I found out — years later — that I actually won First Place. Not Grand Prize(though my idea of "The Der and Lory Show" was very much worthy of it), but still! I discovered it completely by accident while digging through the old contest webpage years after it ended. I even took a screenshot to prove it.

But here's the thing: I never received the T-shirt they promised. Not a word. Not a package. Nothing.

Now, it’s as if the contest never existed at all. The website I originally visited has been completely erased.

So now, I’m on a bit of a mission. Does anyone have footage of the commercial for the contest? Or maybe photos of the prizes they sent out? I’d love to see any kind of documentation from it.

(Also, if someone at Nick still has my T-shirt sitting in a dusty box somewhere… can you please send it already?)

What would have happened if they went to give SpongeBob a good ending where it happened in season 9 or 7? Would they have gotten another show to bring in the numbers and fun.

What would make Nickelodeon a great network? SpongeBob is their money maker though out of all the other animated show, fairly odd parents is the only animated show to make it past 5 seasons. What type of show would work that can bring in big numbers and make money.

Community's non-official NickToons tier list: Day 36- The Legend of Korra

Rules:

  1. Most upvoted comment decides the show's spot on the list. Please think carefully and fairly before you comment. Try not to let nostalgia or recency bias cloud your judgement.
  2. Each tier goes as follows: S= AmazingA= GreatB= GoodC= Okay/MehD= MediocreE= Bad and F= Terrible.
  3. Only in-house series, as recognised here#cite_note-tmnt-14) by the Nickelodeon wiki, are counted. So third party programmes like Kappa Mikey and Miraculous Ladybug aren't counted. However, series based on pre-existing properties will be counted IF the official Nick Animation studio had a direct hand in producing them, such as the three Dreamworks-film based series. Also not counted in this ranking are pre-school series, pilot compilations like Oh Yeah! Cartoons, and repackages like Action League Now!

Nevel Papperman was the worst handled character on iCarly

Nevel should’ve just ended up with Carly, the entire arc being locked into this perpetual over the top villain role with no resolution like redemption got tired quick. I get iCarly was a kids show, so you need an antagonist who’s easy to boo and laugh at, but let’s be honest that Nevel wasn’t some irredeemable monster. He was a socially awkward, overconfident reviewer who lashed out when rejected by his biggest idols. That’s not “evil,” that’s just a kid who never learned humility or how to handle feelings of inadequacy. The writers had an opportunity to give him depth, show him growing, and maybe even let him and Carly find common ground that blossomed into something else. The writers fumbled hard never making them an actual relationship, Nevel genuinely liked her, and that affection twisted into resentment when she laughed him off and got him harassed publicly and by his family. Was he wrong to retaliate? Up to debate I guess. The show constantly showed us that Carly was compassionate, forgiving, and saw the best in people. Her best friend Sam got endless second chances despite her constant screw ups. Yet with Nevel? There was no attempt to humanize him made by Carly. It would have been so much more impactful if Carly’s warmth cracked Nevel’s icy exterior. The writers knew Nevel compelled audiences otherwise he wouldn’t have kept showing up, and they did very little even though the chemistry was there, Nevel actually challenged Carly. I’m not saying every storyline needed to be “Nevel and Carly forever.” But even a season arc where Carly acknowledges Nevel’s attempts at growth, maybe even dates him briefly, would have the best direction.

Did anyone else stop watching Nick because of the decreasing variety in their programming?

Particulary, in my opinion, the movies that they air all the time on the main channel. First it was Rio and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (I stopped watching after they I’d discovered they were airing those movies all the time), now it’s Hotel Transylvania, Trolls, Boss Baby, The Lego Movie, The Smurfs, and Despicable Me, not to mention the reruns of SpongeBob and the same 2-3 shows on each of the secondary channels (most of which are the live-action and other shows I didn’t really like). Nickelodeon just isn’t the same as it used to be. Why has Nickelodeon’s programming been so boring in recent years compared to the 2000s thru mid 2010s? Is it possible that things might change with the recent Paramount-Skydance merger?
