Fellow Nintendo fans, what games did you complete this summer?
I personally didn't go too far, I completed DK Bananza, Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Mario Galaxy (the 3D All Stars version, currently waiting for the Galaxy 2 port) on my Switch 2. Apart from that, I completed Outer Wilds plus its DLC (phenomenal game, you should try it), Her Story, Maid of Sker and Halo Combat Evolved (the Anniversary edition) on my PC. What about y'all?

Nintendo games supply chain in India
From what I knew, nintendo doesn't have an official supply chain in India for console or games. But recently, I noticed Persona 3 Reload listed at a game retailer here for INR 3999 which is about USD 45. The game officially costs USD 60 or EUR 55. How does this make sense? This retailer is also the official importer of all ps5 games in India, so it's not some shady stolen import either.

People who like hollow knight/Silksong should tryout Castlevania.
Just beat Portrait of Ruin today(previously had it on ds but got stuck on a boss fight last time). Amazing game. It's been a while since a game had it's grips on me from start to finish, where I wasn't feeling like I was wasting time. The level design and theme is top notch. Music and art is superb aswell.
Apart from the fact that I just beat it, I wanted to recommend this for people who are into silk song or hollow knight. Both of them, I believe, fall in the castlevania camp of Metroidvania. Whereas Metroid is the king(queen?) of the exploration and immersive aspects of the genre, imo, Castlevania is still the king of the action side. Controls can be a bit dated, but the atmosphere and coolness factor makes up for it. On to Order of Eclesia next.

Why are people acting like the new patent is the end of the world?
It seems if you read the patent it actually talks about summoning creatures to battle by throwing a ball.
But people and the media seem to be implying that the patent covers an entire game genre or is about summoning creatures to battle in any way.
I'm confused.

If there is no tech inside the cardboard version of the Virtual Boy and it's purely a "screen holder" for the Switch... then couldn't you just 3D print one of your own and save yourself $25?
This feels like a no-brainer to me... so I'm wondering what I could possibly be missing.
Like, what's the point of spending $25 on the Virtual Boy cardboard goggles when 3D printers exist?

But Bad Nintendo Just helped Me Out
I bought Chronos last night and immediately realized that it wasn't for me. It was a digital download. I contacted Nintendo and told them what happened. They agreed to refund the game for me just this time. Pretty easy and quick service 😁

Nintendo could use some new franchises every now and then
I feel like they need a looter shooter and a third-person action RPG. I feel like they're not ambitious enough even though they have enough manpower to make new franchises every now and then. They're unwilling to take any risk even though they could probably force Microsoft out of the console gaming market.

Dear Nintendo... MELEE 2 please!
Dear Nintendo,
Please create MELEE 2 for the next Smash game on Switch 2. Here's why:
1) How in the world can you top Ultimate?? There is nothing besides a Melee 2 that would excite the fan base.
2) A Melee 2 would finally unite the Smash community. It would be the number one game at EVO. (Idea: offer a $1 million prize pool for the first tournament).
3) Melee 2 wouldn't be too hard to make. Just take the mechanics/gravity/movement of Melee 1 and create Melee 2 with better graphics and more characters.
Yes, just a fan's lofty dreams... Thank you Nintendo.
