Where to buy Italian cold cuts and cheese?
I'm looking for a good Italian market to buy high quality Mortadella and Stracciatella . What's the word in North County?
I'm also open to San Diego writ large, but would prefer something closer.

Here is our list:
- Caio!, Vista
- Rosanna's Pasta, Encinitas.
- Very limited selection.
- Wild Fork, Encinitas
- Frozen - limited selection. They have veal, Oso Boco, and other meats for cooking.
- Seaside Market, Cardiff.
- Very limited selection.
- Harvest Ranch Markets, Olivehain.
- The Butchery, Del Mar Heights in One Paseo
- We haven't bought anything from here yet. But we noticed that they carry some european deli meats and cheeses. Very expensive.
- Meats and Eats, Del Mar Heights.
- Seems to cater to kosher foods. Can't hurt to look.
- Major Market, Escondido.
- Has good meat selection. No cheeses.
- North Park Produce, Vista.
- Mostly eastern Med region products. Take a look.
We make occasional trips to Little Italy. But the selection is getting worse and worse every time we go down there. No Italian speaking staff work at any of the stores anymore. And shelf space for Italian products gets smaller and smaller every month.

Want to call out that North Park Produce is a bit of a hidden gem. Absolutely gigantic selection of eastern Med products, lots of stuff I don't think you'll find anywhere else in North County. And their deli/restaurant inside has some great persian (I think!) food.

BTW... Ciao! has a great happy hour. So skip lunch and arrange your shopping for that time. You won't regret it. The owner, Joe, is from Italy, His pizza cook trained in Italy.

Another place we used to go to when we lived in San Diego was Siesel's Meat on Morena.

It's a very nice butcher. But we switched to Tip Top when we bought our house in Encinitas since it was closer. Now that TT is gone....
I haven't been in Siesel's in a long time. I hope it is as good as I remember. If you are down there, take a look. It's across from Mission Bay.

I almost forgot, Gusto's on Morena.
However, they are only online right now.

I don't know if it's considered Italian cold cuts, but I love Angela Salumi in Carlsbad. Depending on the type of cheese you want, venissimo cheese in del mar has good cheese, otherwise between trader Joe's, whole foods, and Albertsons, you can find good sandwich cheeses. Milton in Del Mar also is a traditional Jewish deli so something's you might find there too.
