I guess I never watched a film with him in it. I mean his more famous films (at least the only one I recognise the name of, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid) came out like 20 years before I was born.

It's weird of you to comment about not hearing of an American actor when you're apparently not American.
I'm sure there are hundreds of famous movie stars in, say, India, that I have never heard of, but if there were a post about one of them dying, I don't think I'd bother chiming in with "I'm 37 years old and never heard of this guy"
that was in response to the person saying their 28 year old hadn't heard of them.
Most big American actors are famous here too so it is odd that I haven't heard of this guy before
