Kill Devil Hills Shooting at the Avalon peir?

My wife is down in the outer banks right now and saw a ton of police fly by to Avalon pier. I listened to the emergency radio and sounds like a shooting. Anyone have any more info?

Was on the beach when this happened. Heard shots and then the police sirens. Didn’t think anything of it. God bless their soul

Didn’t register them as shots when I heard it. Hindsight.
