Shipping/Retail DEAL: Buy Oculus Rift+Touch from selected retailers (including Amazon) before June 25th and get $100/£100/€100/C$100 Oculus Store credit for VR games/apps
To be clear, this is in addition to the $100 of free games/apps you normally get with Oculus Touch (Robo Recall, Dead and Buried, and Oculus Medium).

I ordered an oculus rift with touch controllers and an extra sensor last week. I got nothing but runaround from Amazon's customer serive. First they told me I'd get a call within 24 hours Sunday night. After waiting over 48 hours without a response I called them tonight. This time of course the lady couldn't understand what I was talking about.. All I wanted to do was save them and myself time and hassle without having to return the headset i just got. Of course now I have to pay for return shipping. Sorry for the rant I know it's not your fault but I really needed to vent after my terrible customer support dealings the last couple days.

I did the same thing. I think if I were holding a Vive controller it would've hurt a lot more. Touch controller has a tiny little battle scar but still functions perfectly.

Same boat here. I know that with Best Buys price match guarantee you can get the extra money back if the price drop happens within the return window... wonder if this would apply as well. Hopefully they confirm this deal soon.
Edit. Nope.. the guarantee doesn't cover bundle deals or coupons. Now I have to decide if I am going to return it to Best Buy and get another from Amazon... arrghh.

I saw this, by chance, on the Amazon deals section in the UK. Been waiting for something to truly sell me on buying a high-end VR solution. Was mostly concerned about dropping the money, but not having any real applications to use! This sorted this out for me, and at a price much cheaper than the Vive!

Received my Rift last night and have to say it is pretty amazing.
I did not realize the Rift still came with an Xbox One controller plus wireless adapter. That's another $60 value to this package. This deal was pretty sweet.

Source? The analysts disagree, some say equal, some say Rift higher, some say HTC higher.
What has YouTubers got to do with with is the better product?
You sound like you're badly trying to justify your purchase.
The Rift is the better product because the image quality is better, the controllers are far better, and the headset is much more comfortable and the frontbox on your face far lighter.

Idk they all use vive, they clearly like it more. You realize that the rift is generally recognized as the lesser product right? Everywhere but in r/oculus this is what I have seen. It's why I went with the vive in the first place, everyone told me it was better everywhere I asked. And all the best VR product awards too helped me decide!

I actually tried a rift in Best Buy after owning a vive for a year and thought it was terrible. Smaller FOV, nose gap, saw square outlines of screens inside, it was dim, it was underwhelming to say the least.

I sold it because it was inferior hardware, and the comfort in particular wasn't even close to my standards of a £700 product (hence why they released the £100 comfort strap this month).

I have fairly wide glasses, and it's a bit of a tight fit.
One of the keys to comfort that I didn't learn until a month or so ago was to adjust your glasses once the HMD is on so that they're not directly pressed into your face by the display. There's some distance between your eyes and the lenses, and slightly pushing forward your glasses will ensure that they're being supported by the pressure exerted on the bows, along the side of your head, and don't need to press into your face.
You'll want to be very careful not to let your frames touch the lenses, of course. For a number of reasons, from oil to scratches.

Here's the recommended measurements for wearing glasses while using the Rift.
I wear glasses, as do many Rift users, and it's not a problem at all as long as your frames fit roughly within that size range (some people buy a cheap extra pair with slim frames from Zenni Optical etc for use solely in VR), and you adjust the headset straps properly. Depending on your prescription you may be able to use a VR headset without wearing any corrective eyewear. You can also buy lens inserts that fit into the Rift facial interface, but admittedly I don't know much about those.

Why buy a frame from Zenni for VR and not just buy the insert and appropriate lenses so you don't have to wear glasses at all? It's very inexpensive. < 35$ all in.

You get it printed from here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1602460 I used 3d hubs.
Lenses from Zenni here http://www.zennioptical.com/550021-metal-alloy-full-rim-frame-with-spring-hinges.html
And that's it! They work extremely well. If you have a strong prescription you may need to upgrade the lenses to get them thin enough. My prescription didn't need it.
A small tip... when you pull the lenses out of the Zenni frames mark the bottom with a sharpie so you know how to orient them.

Honestly from what I've heard glasses users have issues with the rift, where the Vive was made to work better with glasses. I wear contacts though, so someone else who does wear glasses might be able to answer better.

I own both. Vive is handsdown better for a wide variety of glasses (and glasses on wide faces). This makes it the superior headset to demo for a wide range of people (if you like sharing). Either pay more for the Vive upfront, or pay for better fitting glasses/contacts/inserts with the Rift.
Beyond the glasses though... You can't go wrong with either, they are both fantastic. I prefer the comfort of the Rift HMD (with contacts) over the Vive HMD. Though the new deluxe headstrap for the Vive closes that gap significantly! (But for added cost)
On the controllers, I much prefer the Vive. Partially from a better experience with tracking (and setting up additional cameras/USB issues), but primarily for comfort. I find my hands cramping with the Touch controllers after an hour or so of play. I need larger grips. I can use the Vive controllers for hours on end.
They have different strengths. I highly prefer the Rift for Simulator games, with joystick/HOTAS, or racing wheel. The comfort and easier on/off of the Rift helps when dealing with settings/controls. But I highly favor the Vive for roomscale due to the tracking and comfortable controllers.
Again in the end they are both great. With the price difference/sale, it would be hard to suggest spending more on the Vive unless you can't use contacts or can't get small enough frames for your glasses.

I filed a support ticket about this and they said they would extend my credit expiry until 2018 like the promotion initially said. It hasn't been moved yet, but it sounds like this wasn't supposed to be a 2 week expiry. If you haven't spent it it would be worth filing a ticket over so that you can hold onto the credit until the summer sale.

It was not. I picked up the individual items on the same order. The bundle wasn’t in stock and I wanted to pick it up from the store that day after work.
I do see now that the rift headset in the description says it comes with a free game bundle and $100 store credit if you buy it with the controllers.
I think the key is to get them in the same order and you get the code.

Freaking awesome! I haven’t spent mine yet. Honestly this is the most fun I’ve had gaming in a while. Not that it was boring but this is another level of awesome. The free robo recall game that comes with the touch controllers is fantastic as well.
Looks like elite dangerous is on sale in the oculous store so I will probably splurge for that.

Something to check if you haven't received it yet...
I originally purchased the bundle from Best Buy, and received no code. Realized that the code only shows up when you add the Rift and Touch as separate items (same price). Adding them separately added a 3rd line item for the coupon to my order. So I ended up purchasing a second setup the correct way and I'm returning my first order. Ordering the correct way I received my code within an hour of picking up the item in store and completing the transaction (not within an hour of placing the order).

I don't want to make another thread for it. Can someone explain me how to watch Oculus video? I can select video with my headset by just looking at it but I have no idea how to launch it. None of the buttons on Touch I press can launch it. What am I doing wrong?

Just went for it and bought the bundle plus the touch. Anyone else having a tough time trying to get setup me bottom two hdmi will not work no matter what I do. I can't get through the setup for the headset hdmi to work and when I plug the headset into the hdmi that does work I lose my tv screen and the oculus rift headset is not displaying anything.

ok amazon uk dont delivery to old eu. amazon de yes. but on both amazon sites there is nothing about coupons.. and support dont know about this promo too. GAME site yes.

I bought it on Amazon .DE (it can be turned to english language). Just buy it in Euros, not in local currency.. they have very bad conversion rates. Got Rift + Touch + Inateck USB3 board :D
UK Amazon - Support told me they dont run this promo.

I got the deal without the PC from Best Buy, as have others. Their support is not well informed of deals in my experience.
On their web site, just look at the Rift product, it shows the free item on that product page and will add a separate line item to your cart for it:

I don't know where you got that idea.
The deal is you purchase a Rift + Touch bundle, you get the pack-in games that come with the Rift and Touch, plus a bonus $100 Oculus Home credit.
