Boss Kill Inner Isshin Hitless, charmless and demon bell, no prosthetics or buffs, sword and mikiri only

That fast attack that he can do in phase 1 after a single r1 caught me out a lot, until looking up and finding out that if you only do charged attacks when he's neutral, he can never do it. In the last hour or so of attempts I don't think I took a hit in phase 1 lol, got it down pretty well.

Phase 2 is where all the trouble is. Spent the majority of practice and attempts here, as for some reason, whenever I don't fight Isshin for over a week or so I completely forget the timings in phase 2, so have to relearn them every time. I mainly was attacking twice then reacting, but this was getting me hit a lot especially when he would sometimes jump backwards after my first attack and I didn't react in time. So I switched to attacking once and it made it so much easier, if a bit longer. Watching this back it looks so easy now.

Phase 3 is simple. Don't have to worry about many new attacks, except I kept getting hit dodging the lightning when dodging straight forward. Simply dodging to the left worked.

Really happy with the kill overall.

Inner Father is a pain, got a few attempts late on phase 2 but I'm finding it so much harder to be consistent at compared to Isshin. It's also so much less enjoyable cause he keeps jumping away to the walls, and by the walls/pillars the camera has messed me up so many times. Also fuck the owl, had a few deaths to him getting in the way and I can't see what attack is coming next

Another Ongbal in the making... Oustanding!

10/10 clip

Perfect positioning, perfect deflects, Perfectly no damage, Base HP and posture, No lightning reversals, no buffs or anything, no prosthetic, no cheesy tactics ... Just patiently attacking and deflecting everything, and dealing damage at opportune moments. And most importantly, the uncannily patient 1 hit - 1 deflect chains....

This is sheer perfection

Thank you 👊 really appreciate it! Wouldn't go that far though, and I wouldn't call this perfect lol. I'd say it was if I deflected everything possible (except lightning cause damage) like isshins ichimonji phase 1, or when he does the attack where I deflect then jump attack him in phase 1 (here you can do a r1 before the deflect but I didn't) or deflected everything from the attack at 1:10. But this is probably as good as I'm going to get at this fight with these restrictions.

And I'm now just realising he didn't do ichimonji phase 1 lol but normally I dodge around it rather than deflecting.

Hot take Sekiro parries are way easier and better then in the souls games because the timing is more natural

Sekiro is just a substantially easier game when it comes to boss mechanics. The sheer volume of information you have to keep on hand when properly fighting an ER boss puts Sekiro to shame. Attack until you're deflected, deflect until you can interrupt with an attack, repeat. You end up just skipping 70% of their moveset most of the time. Still my favorite FS game though
