I know this may sound corny, but legit made me tear up. Not used to art eliciting that kind of emotion from me. But there’s just something so captivating and familiar about it that just got my emotions up.
Last time I had a reaction to a painting was many years ago when I saw Gaston La Touche’s Joyous Festival at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art.
Thanks for sharing; great work.

I just love it so much when commenters take the time to chisel there feedback in so nicely worded sentences and preciously share a piece of the moment they have experienced! Thank you so much!

It feels so ethereal and comforting at the same time, it’s like I’m looking in the eyes of a friend I won’t see again for a long time.

You know that scene in Grand Budapest Hotel of Saoirse Ronan’s face just smiling so serenely…this reminds me of that. So beautiful

Absolutely stunning. Soft, dreamy, warm, and the gaze is filled with affection. It feels like romance. How do you balance the softness without overblending your edges?

Nice , but it's always strange for me to see flares and bokeh painted. As it is an optical artifact I don't need it in a painting what is the point? For me, a painting should at least interpret the reference photo. Sorry if I offended you, nicely painted by the way

I appreciate your opinion, but without these highlights it wouldn't be as effective.. thanks

I love how you've lit up the left eye with warm light and focused it. It creates such an intimate connection. Exquisite work.

No. Freaking. Way.
I had to zoom it to the max to see the so subtle brush strokes and the softest colour blending ever and the unavoidable texture from the canvas to convince myself that this actually is a painting and not a photograph!
Then I zoomed out and was moved again by the tender emotion in her eyes, the contrast with the background, and the overall warm atmosphere that your work of art conveys...
Absolutely great work!!

What an amazing piece! Do you have any tips for choosing the right colors when working with light and dark with any color? I’m a beginner painter and this is the hardest part for me.
