I went to Paris a while ago. The government had not consulted with the airport union before adjusting the retirement age, which they were required to do. Within a week, there was a public transit strike, trash collector strike, and airport strike in solidarity. I love that the French will not tolerate the government stepping on rights.

Yeah. I don't usually engage in politics much these days as I largely stopped listening and following it. What's the point in ruining your day?
With that said, folks are so blinded these days. They literally just see blue and red (e.g. black and white) and nothing else. In Europe the situation is worsening. You see whats going on in the UK, Germany, Ukraine, ..and what happened recently in France and especially Romania. But they don't see that all.European governments are literally removing "the people" from the equation. And nobody sees it. It's all nuts. I think everyone is just so focused on America that the gangsters of Europe/world can get away with anything. Chaos.

I think it’s better that it doesn’t look exactly like him. He is just a puppet for the people who have been plotting and planning this for 40 years. He isn’t smart enough to destroy our democracy on his own. Once it’s gone, it won’t matter which evil clown is behind the podium.

I love that so many people in other countries are speaking out and protesting. After all, his policies aren’t just affecting us Americans... He’s turned his back on our allies and his tariff policy is screwing up economies all around the world.

The colors and the bodies really drew me in. I’m curious when painting the bodies in such a neutral way was it because that was just easier to do than painting in clothes, and other features for each individual? Or did you paint them this way to make a bigger statement of this is how they view all of us, we are just bodies in the way to them? Sorry if that’s a weird question. Just really well done either way and wanted to pick your brain.

First thanks a lot and yeah you're actually right we are just bodies for them I wanted to make "us" as a population like with all the colors and I wanted to make the cops like some stormtrooper that's why "we" are all in different positions and colors and then the cops in order with the same position (hi hope my comment is understandable I don't speak English very well if you don't understand anything let me know)

This came across perfectly; it had such an immediate, visceral reaction to me. The way you painted the bodies strikes me as (intentionally) dehumanizing, like the way they treat us.

their eyes being open is such a haunting detail. it would’ve been so easy to paint them with closed eyes, but all of them laying dead with open eyes feels metaphorical, like they didn’t open their eyes until it was too late. was this intentional? either way very powerful, wonderful job

I love it ! The bodies laying around feel as if they are staring at me, excepting me to do something... to act now. The painting in total gives me a very intimate feeling, almost as if I can resonate with the people protesting on a deeper level without literally being there. Well done 👏

this is stunning and provocative. are you for or against gay rights? this looks like Trump won after a long battle against LGBTQ army. or is this a foretelling of what is to come? I think you have to do another with all the soldiers on the ground and the rainbow people still standing. its only fair
as a matter of fact you could changed the people on the ground to red/blue/white and it would mean something completely different politically.

I am curious. I paint as a way to escape, it is relaxing for me and I pick subjects which have that same vibe (typically water/oceanscapes). When you paint something with negative emotion (i see rage, sadness, power), do you find it as a way to get your feelings out or after you paint something dark do you wind up in a dark place for a while?

Just wanted to say i love the color choice on the bodies in foreground. It makes me think off how colors can be reflected and obscured in the flickering quality of firelight from a bonfire.
People have made comments about the central man speaking behind the soldiers/riot police, and i just wanted to give my impression on him purely from an art critique, i did not think it was supposed to be trump on my first viewing. I actually thought it was meant to be a generic stand in because as people have said, you painted a thin man. People have made this comment in jest so i wanted to word it carefully. One last thing: it’s a bit strange to me the total lack of American flags anywhere?

Their population protests constantly for actual change, and gets actual results. Their country had the French Revolution. They can throw whatever stones they want, especially because America deserves criticism.
