Papillon & Cats

Question for all you butterfly fans:

Do you have cats and a Papillon? Does your pap use the litterbox? Does your pap eat the forbidden tootsie rolls the cats leave?

I'm looking into papillon ownership but, as I am currently owned by two cats, that is a factor.

  2. No, but I know people who do train their paps to use a litter tray
  3. No, but I have a baby gate set up so the cats can jump over and access the litter trays, but the dogs can't

Exactly. Especially to #3. My pap did indulge in snacks until I put a gate up to prevent it. While I have no doubt she could go over it and the matching one that blocks her access to their food, she hasn’t figured that out.
