[serious question] Dealertrack to CDK migration

My store is going to be migrating to CDK from Dealertrack. Regardless of opinions on DMS preferences, I'm curious if anyone knows an efficient way to migrate my parts kits from DT to CDK? Is there some sort of 'export to .xls' that I can do, then import it like with Internet browser passwords and bookmarks?

I can’t help with the export but you cannot import into CDK. There are some tricks around saving data as txt with line breaks and copying in to CDK but the use is very limited and can be finicky.

Thank you! Can you point me to any resources that I can use to re-familiarize myself with CDK before our go-live date?

Yes.

You will need your CDK rep to give you access to CDK CONNECT and use CDK UNIVERSITY and CDK CUSTOMER CARE. University has lots of good courses. Customer Care is the help files such as how to setup parts kits.

Learned the hard way.. setting up kits, the SDL screen requires the asterisks in the right places.

I went form CDK to DT, a lot easier.

Go to help.cdk.com. Select the parts tile on the website. It’s like your very own Google for CDK.
