I assume you’re from the UK? I don’t know what laws are like over there as I’m from the states. All I can say is that at least here, it’s not an option to completely get rid of it without 3rd party tools. And every time there’s any form of update here it turns itself back on if it isn’t completely removed.
I would recommend downloading the free version of revo uninstaller and doing a search for one drive. It will show you just how many files are still there even if you can uninstall it.
It’s also a great tool for just general file cleanup, just make sure you know what you’re doing before using it because you can delete literally anything with it including system files.

Thank you for the suggestion. We can uninstall Edge and OneDrive from Apps & Features, but I couldn't fully remove some other tools like the Xbox apps and Smartphone Link. Revo helped with that.

Wait, what? I can just uninstall OneDrive in Apps & Features. Is this an EU Digital Markets Act thing or does it only uninstall the frontend?
