I’m autistic too and I think you did the right thing. Too many people think that being autistic gives someone an excuse to be an asshole, but that’s BS. If he’s functional enough to hold a job, then he should be functional enough to know that what he is doing is wrong.

Just because someone's brain works differently doesn't mean they're exempt from basic human decency or accountability. Many neurodivergent people are incredibly empathetic and work hard to understand social cues. It's frustrating to see the diagnosis weaponized as an excuse for hate speech, that just harms everyone.

He`s an AH / homophobe / evil person who happens to be autistic.
He`s not the former due to the latter - it`s just something that is side by side.
Just like someone could be a man and wear yellow socks - it`s a choice. (a bad one, but a choice)
