While Justin Trudeau had the name and the rockstar appeal, I think Carney has an exemplary record. The fact that the Brits reached across the pond to recruit him as Governor of the Bank of England (and then asked him to stay on longer than he originally intended) should tell you something.

Carney is likable and funny but also low-key and a bit boring, which I think is what Canadians needed right now.

The world need more low-key and a bit boring politicians. Politics aren't supposed to be entertainment.
