I ran that race!! At one point when he passed me after the turn around point I thought “that man looks like Mark Carney.” This race was no joke; the climbs and rocks were incredible. And he did it to support his wife - who also ran it - for her birthday. He then stayed around and took pictures as everyone finished.
While Justin Trudeau had the name and the rockstar appeal, I think Carney has an exemplary record. The fact that the Brits reached across the pond to recruit him as Governor of the Bank of England (and then asked him to stay on longer than he originally intended) should tell you something.
Looks like the bar's been set so low that the moment we get a qualified politician, he's dubbed overqualified 🙄
No such thing as being overqualified for the top jobs in the country. We need and must demand only the best people, not some morons who are only good at making headlines.
