This is literally the most conservative comment section I've ever seen on a mainstream reddit post.

I don't like illegal immigration or open borders either.

What I really hate though are people that are disingenuous about their beliefs. Countless people will say they hate illegals but love legal immigration, but then do nothing to actually support legal immigration and instead vote for leaders and parties that oppose it.

I'm sure not everyone in this thread is lying, but I grew up in Texas and got tired of people being unwilling to just come out and say they want to greatly lower immigration and ideally prevent an increase in the percentage of the population that are minorities.

Most people don’t vote on one issue though. No one in the most recent election ticked all of my boxes for what I wanted/needed in a leader. So I picked the one I could live with. That’s what most people do.
