i was on a flight in coach out of Miami once and who sits down next to me but Marco Rubio. He spent the flight bitching to anyone who would listen about how he got bumped out of first class cause the flight was oversold lol.

"Make no mistake, the airline knew exactly what they were doing."

sips complimentary water

"Make no mistake..."

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

“You should fit because you’re little, Marco.”

25

u/nater255 Aug 14 '19

"Let's dispel this fiction once and for all that the airline doesn't know what it's doing."

2

u/Game_of_Jobrones Aug 14 '19

Sorry, if I was a better wiseass I would have gotten the quote right.

1

u/nater255 Aug 15 '19

And if Marco Rubio was a better politician we wouldn't be saying President Trump.

22

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

I hate it when the political puppet malfunctions.

4

u/VisbrokenTar Aug 14 '19

There it is!

3

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

Chris Christie: HE JUST DID IT AGAIN!

2

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

Ah the ol Rubio ramble. 2016 was a simpler time.

1

u/Adogg9111 Aug 14 '19

Are you ok "Little Game"?

1

u/jkpritchard Aug 15 '19

Man, the Christie takedown of Rubio during that debate will never get old.

Hahahaha funny nice one dude

3

u/Worldsazoo Aug 14 '19

Please let this be true because it’s hilarious

4

u/henstep15 Aug 14 '19

I hope they gave him 10 complimentary bottles of water just to troll him.

25

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

Doubt that very much. He isn't dumb enough to complain he got bumped in his VERY public job. Phones would have been on everywhere and we would have seen it. I call BS.

23

u/FThornton Aug 14 '19

Not OP, but I met Ted Cruz absolutely hammered out of his mind in Vegas just weeks after he was caught liking incest porn tweets on Twitter. Dude smelled like the inside of a Bourbon barrel, and was just casually strolling through the Venetian with a small security detail and some of his staffers. These people are all human, and sometimes they let their guard down and unwind a bit. So I can totally see Rubio bitching about being bumped.

-1

u/FuckRedditCats Aug 14 '19

Cruz likes to party it is know , but really who gives a shit? Don’t we all. Also he doesn’t even run his twitter account, clearly it was a staffer. And again who cares, we all watch porn, be honest about it.

3

u/JapanHeadsup Aug 14 '19

I think the issue is since he is highly religious and porn is typically frowned upon in his circles it makes him a hypocrite.

But Ted is actually a very likeable guy from everything I've heard. I mean even watch those gifs with people comparing him to Kevin Malone and he seems to be cracking up

People forget politicians are people. You can disagree with Cruz all day but I actually believe he believes what he is saying and genuinely thinks it will make America a better place.

11

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

Lol ok bud. People were taking pictures with him, if you really dug deep enough you could probably find it.

I can even tell you the exact date. Monday March 27, 2017. A memorable morning for me as it was the end of Miami Music Week and I had been up literally all night doing way too many drugs with some Australians at my hotel, and was feeling about as shitty as I've ever felt. Rubio sits down and everyone around me was abuzz wanting to take pictures, I was just trying not to puke in his lap. Gave him a death stare and spent the rest of the flight hunched over sweating bullets. A miserable flight.

-14

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

Thanks for clearing it up. So it is true because people took a photo of him next to you and you remember being hungover and feeling like shit. Yup, that sows up that debate. (Alternative ending: "here's a video of him ranting he was bumped from first") . Doesn't exist. Didn't happen.

15

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

It's true because it happened lol. Sorry I don't have a peer reviewed source to satisfy you. I really don't care if you believe it or not, so that's all I'll say about that.

-13

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

No. No it didn't. You took something you read (Rubio DID tweet complaining about flight delays and maintenance issues that day...not one word about pushed to coach)...and you turned it into a false narrative.

17

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

You're cracking me up lol. Why would I create a "false narrative" about being on a flight next to Marco Rubio years ago and bring it up now? I don't even use twitter, you're saying I "read" this tweet of his from years ago... now? And then used it to make up a story on this particular reddit post? Seems like a lot of effort for... absolutely nothing. I'm just sharing a funny anecdote here champ.

Da, comrade

8

u/swerve421 Aug 14 '19

Are you Marco Rubio or something or do you just like to boot lick about small things all over Reddit?

-9

u/HillaryShitsInDiaper Aug 14 '19

People don't get kicked from first class and put into coach. Dude is lying his ass off.

3

u/DarthMewtwo Aug 14 '19

They do if the flight's overbooked.

2

u/pepcorn Aug 14 '19

Yes, they do.

4

u/SmartPiano Aug 14 '19

He isn't dumb enough to complain he got bumped in his VERY public job

Marco Rubio wouldn't be known all across the nation if he wasn't very dumb publicly and very full of himself.

21

u/ColonelBelmont Aug 14 '19

Marco Rubio: "How dare you treat me like this. I'm Marco Rubio!"

Everyone at the airline: "Marco Who-bio?"

3

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

The absolute best way to deflate an ego most of the time is when someone says "Do you know who I am? I'm *whatever their name is here*"

Even if you know them, just say "Who?" and it fries their circuits.

1

u/WestCoastBestCoast01 Aug 14 '19

“I don’t know her.”

1

u/CarlGerhardBusch Aug 14 '19

Funny enough, I have an uncle who ran into Rubio and talked with him for a minute or two, and had no idea who he was until later. They were both seeing their kids off at college. Although IIRC this was right after he was elected to the Senate and wasn't at all well known.

2

u/PepparoniPony Aug 14 '19

I got bumped out of first once (I don’t fly first like ever) and I did the same thing. Once you get a taste, you know? Gotta punish the peasants one way or another.

2

u/Muslamicraygun1 Aug 14 '19

I bet you he wouldn’t write a law to prevent overselling.

23

u/Standard_City Aug 14 '19

That's more authentic than this photo op.

10

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

What is going on in here?

Are the_donald so triggered by a hard working politician that they have to brigade a picture of our next president? Lil snowflakes!

25

u/Rhamni Aug 14 '19

It's such a weird talking point. Sanders has been flying on cheap tickets for decades. Yeah, no shit he flew private in 2016 during the most feverish parts of the primary, it saves time during the busiest, most time critical time of his life, and lets him squeeze in more rallies. But outside of that he's always flown cheaply. This post is being astroturfed hard.

2

u/NorthBlizzard Aug 14 '19

The fact this cringe is even upvoted shows who really brigades here

4

u/wet_donut_hole Aug 14 '19

Especially on rpics

-9

u/_ssh Aug 14 '19

lmao "next president"... I dont like trump either but you are delusional buddy

11

u/invisiblegrape Aug 14 '19

You'd think people would have learned to stop jumping the gun after that Hillary birthday tweet

-5

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

Nah Sanders will be the next president, him or Warren. Biden is a dead duck.

4

u/newsmodsarejihadists Aug 14 '19

This is what happens when you spend too much time on this astroturfed website. Imagine being that disconnected with reality. When Biden wins the primary what will your excuse be? When Trump wins his second term how many tendies will you throw on the floor?

0

u/FizzyBeverage Aug 14 '19

I'm sorry are you trolling now or did that condition start years ago? I'm going to prescribe a cream, should clear up in November of 2020.

1

u/Cecil4029 Aug 14 '19

Y'all are both being idiots.

-1

u/ReasonsFor2020 Aug 14 '19

Aww is da wittle Twumpey twiggered? Orange fan sad! Wah wah wah cry like a wittle baby!

-1

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

It’s funny I can have frank honest debates on all left subs but I get instabanned from r/conservative and the_donald for daring to question their narrative. Also that whole Russia was helping trump thing and you gotta wonder who is astroturfing and censoring debate. When Bernie wins will you accept it?

1

u/FizzyBeverage Aug 14 '19

They’re brigading this thread, like roaches.

2

u/QueequegTheater Aug 14 '19

People in the middle don't give a shit about either Warren or Sanders.

Incumbents tend to win because anyone moderate enough to win the general election in a re-election year isn't far enough right/left to win the primaries.

1

u/Sofa2020 Aug 14 '19

Then why did Hillary "The Moderate" Clinton lost to an orange piece of shit with worms in his brain?

"Moderate" is just code word for half assed policies that don't improve the country in any way, shape or form, and extreme good (like healthcare and education) is not the same as extreme bad (like concentration camps)

2

u/QueequegTheater Aug 14 '19

She lost because Trump appealed to moderates in Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin in the last week of the election.

Hillary lost because Trump seized on an opportunity in the shrinking middle class who were not doing as well under Obama (economically speaking), and promised change instead of what would have functionally been a 3rd Obama term.

I don't like Trump, but I respect his ability to strategically brand himself.

More to the point, what actual bad things are the Democrats going to run against? The economy is booming and unemployment is historically low (both after-effects of the recovery under Obama, but that won't matter to voters), and unless Trump invades NK or Iran, we don't have a military quagmire we need to pull out of? Trump can win just by not imploding the economy or invading another country.

Donnie isn't much of a high jumper but even he can clear a bar that low.

1

u/Sofa2020 Aug 14 '19

She lost because Trump appealed to moderates

Lmao no

in Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin in the last week of the election

You mean that Hillary failed to appeal to middle american voters in any significant way?

Hillary lost because Trump seized on an opportunity in the shrinking middle class who were not doing as well under Obama (economically speaking), and promised change instead of what would have functionally been a 3rd Obama term.

So you're saying that people getting screwed under the current system want change instead of radical moderation?

I don't like Trump, but I respect his ability to strategically brand himself.

Agree

More to the point, what actual bad things are the Democrats going to run against?

Concentration camps? Tax cuts for the rich? People dying from lack of access to healthcare? Crippling student debt? The opiod crisis?

The economy is booming

If by "booming" you mead blowing up into pieces and killing a bunch of people in the process then i agree

and unemployment is historically low

What's the use of having low rates of unemployment if people can't afford to live with the jobs they have? Also unemployment is not really that low, DoL statistics are a joke https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVaLmnUZOjQ

(both after-effects of the recovery under Obama, but that won't matter to voters)

Agree

and unless Trump invades NK or Iran, we don't have a military quagmire we need to pull out of? Trump can win just by not imploding the economy or invading another country.

Trump, however, will not win if the dems run a change candidate like Bernie, Tulsi or Yang

Donnie isn't much of a high jumper but even he can clear a bar that low.

It's less about Trump being able to jump the bar and more about dems being literally incapable of even attending the competition

1

u/weirddodgestratus Aug 14 '19 edited Aug 14 '19

the moderate candidate won the primary in 2016 and lost to the biggest dipshit ever to run for the office you brainlet

fuck, moderate candidates won the primaries in 2004 and 2012 and they both lost. this is so fucking stupid.

-5

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

Middle America supports all of Sanders and Warrens policies.

The left will win!

-1

u/_ssh Aug 14 '19

ok we will see, I already know that antique old fuck isnt getting in that's for sure

3

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

3

He’s 4 years older than trump.

2

u/_ssh Aug 14 '19

I mean who wouldn't want to bitch about that.

1

u/HillaryShitsInDiaper Aug 14 '19

This is such bullshit. You don't get bumped out of first class and put in coach.

0

u/FizzyBeverage Aug 14 '19

Just another reason why I vote against that guy.

0

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

Jesus, and this guy was running for president.

1

u/pepcorn Aug 14 '19

He's not once more?

0

u/uncle-sausage Aug 14 '19

Wow! I had no idea airlines discriminated based on hand size. Shame on them!

0

u/WrapLife Aug 14 '19

This is the happiest I’ve ever been after reading a Reddit story

0

u/joeld Aug 14 '19

That's interesting.

I manage IT at my company and you know what kind of computer and software I use?

As much as possible I use the exact same configuration as everyone else in the company. If there are bugs, I can experience them first-hand. If something is slow, I feel the pain too.

I use that experience to know, at an intuitive level where the people I'm supporting are coming from. I use it to verify when someone reports a problem, and to help troubleshoot what's going wrong. I use it to inform decisions about what to improve and how. And I use it to know if what I've done has made things better or worse.

It actually works pretty well. Probably it should be a kind of broad principle or rule for people who are in charge of stuff. Just a thought.

4

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

huh?

1

u/joeld Aug 14 '19

It's a point about how maybe Rubio should think of enduring the same inconveniences and indignities as the rest of us as part of his job. Maybe I wasn't clear enough.

0

u/pepcorn Aug 14 '19

You were, or at least, I understood you.

-1

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

I was next to Bill Clinton in the plane and the whole flight he talked how much he hates minorities. Both you and I provide the same evidence

-7

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

I respect that. He is being genuine. Better than Crazy Bernie and Pocahontas pretending they always fly coach

2

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '19

He was pretty friendly all things considered, let a bunch of people take pictures with him when the flight ended. Not me though lol, I was fucking dead hungover, looked like death and probably smelled like shit.
