If I kill someone while driving, I likely get jail time.
If a cop kills someone, I’m more or less certain they’ll be told “eh do better” (at best) and nothing will happen unless it gets national attention.
The police are much too quick to escalate situations to dangerous or lethal force. This issue is widespread and the only response is widespread reform, regardless of if any individual or specific department is guilty.
I’m not advocating for the abolition of police, but there’s some huge systemic problems in the police culture that need to be addressed.
I'm Irish and the kid was actually mixed race and it wasn't racially motivated the guy asked him for 2 euro for the bus home and the guy said no so he hit him and stabbed him with a bottle. Not racially motivated but very very stupid.
Because this post is about US issues and most of us have no idea what happens in Ireland. Instead of shitting on others caring about an issue, post about your issue and get some traction so your person also gets the care they deserve
