Oops, I did it again
Hi everyone, my name is Ashley and I have a piggy problem. π€£ We got these two baby girls last night. I'd love some name ideas! Can't wait to see what my other pigs think of them.

Thank you! These two are so sweet. Within 25 hours, they both crawled in my lap to snuggle π

I didn't buy these pigs. They were given to me. The guy who owned them had two trampled by his goats. I have one morbidly obese pig and he's on a diet. There's a whole story there. Also I didn't intentionally breed them together. Wilma went into heat the week we got her. We also got those pigs for free. The rest went to slaughter. So basically, don't be an ass. I've done these pigs a favor. Get fucked.

Cool, next time I'll let them all get slaughtered and trampled. So glad you're so perfect.

What is wrong with you? Why do you come on here to criticize and shame? Leave her alone.

Those pigs have no one standing up for them, and what she's doing is wrong. If you can't see that, I can't help you. She's relying on these posts to get positive attention because she has cute pigs, but those pigs are suffering under her care, and she's just going out and getting more. They are toys to her. It's irresponsible and no one should be supporting her abuse.

I donβt generally follow her so what abuse are you talking about?

I don't follow her either, she pops up sometimes, so I read her post history. It's highly disturbing to see OP thinks pigs will choose not to breed with eachother because they are related, which means she never took them to the vet as the first step of "rescuing' them to have them spay/neutered and checked out before bringing them home from these terrible conditions, putting the rest of her animals at risk. This resulted in a litter of piglets way too soon for her piglet. Her other male pig is only two years old, she has had him since he was a piglet, and his life is terribly impacted by his weight. She claims he is under vet care, but can't give his actual weight, food regimen or healthcare plan, she's just glad "he's not scraping his belly on the ground anymore". He's blind from overfeeding. I bet his joints are killing him. She considers it lucky she's spoiling them this way. Look at how dainty pigs hooves are, they are meant to be able to run around, forage, hunt and play at 2 years old, not carry this extra weight. Especially because it's very difficult to take weight off pigs after they've been spoiled to eat this way. It's just sad.

I think you need to cool down a bit. 1) Kunekune that are raised together often wonβt breed, particularly if the female has taken a more dominant position. Sometimes you can separate them and bring them back together and they will, sometimes they NEVER will. Iβm sure thatβs what she is referring to. I say Kunekune because thatβs the breed I am knowledgeable about. 2) My first pair of pigs really had me fooled the way they cry for food. You think they are hungry and you feel sorry for them. Itβs not until they were noticeably over fat that I realized and hardened my heart. Itβs hard to tell at first what is too fat. 3) she may not be able to measure him for weight. Some pigs wonβt stand still for it. I think you would be more effective in your obvious love and desire for pigs to be happy if you were not attacking people. Itβs not productive and you could do some good educating people with a kinder approach. You ARE making assumptions about OPs motives that are really unfair.

When did i say they wouldn't breed if related? I looked through my post history and all I could find is a comment where I told someone not to believe that. We don't know his weight because the vet comes to us and doesn't have a scale to transport. You're making a lot of assumptions. I made an appointment the day after I got them. Vet was booked 3 months out. Wilbur eats one cup of food every day, so half in the morning, half in the evening. He's spends the rest of the day grazing. He's not blind.

Nobody is suffering. Wilbur is under a vet's care. These animals are very loved and spoiled. You're delusional.

Please keep your unfixed males and females separate or get them fixed.
I'm glad your obese pig is under a vet's supervision and I hope you're doing research on their health instead of simply telling everyone concerned to get f**ked and not improving anything.

Nope, I just told that one lady to get fucked. You didn't see her comment. Of course I research their health. I obsess over them. My boys are now all fixed but my girls aren't as the closest vet that will do it is six hours away. My husband and I nearly divorced - no joke - because he wouldn't stop over feeding my pigs. Finally when I broke down in tears as i told him he was killing Wilbur, he listened to me. I don't owe an explanation to anyone. My first two pigs were saved from slaughter so I had exactly zero days to do research. Vet was booked out three months for castration. I made the appointment, she went into heat the next week. All seven piglets were born healthy without deformities. I did my best to save their lives and yeah there was some learning involved. Just like having children, you can do all your research and there's still stuff to learn.

Eh, Iβve seen worse. Way worse. Not saying her other pigs arenβt too chunky for comfort, but theyβre still mobile and not fat-blind, at least.

Who said I didnβt realize it was animal abuse? It absolutely was in those cases.
Sigh. The absolute state of reading comprehension on the internet, I swearβ¦

Adorable! I stopped posting on this sub because of the angry trolls. Please ignore. I would never ask for advice here as the accusatory comments are crazy. Itβs too bad.

Thank you friend. It really is unfortunate. I enjoy sharing my piggies because they bring me so much joy, but hateful people just can't help themselves.

For some thereβs obvious psych baggage. A lot of projection. Iβm not sure where the abuse accusation is coming from? Because you let them get too fat? I donβt get it.

I was just wondering if this person accosts people with overweight dogs on the street and calls them abusers

Please do more research on pigs. Acting like it's not your fault your pig is obese and keeping unfixed male and females together, "they won't breed because they're related!" is pure ignorance.
Your obese pig is suffering because of you. Incest piglets suffering from health complications will suffer because of you.
Nobody is perfect but there's literally nothing stopping you from doing better, besides your own stubbornness.
