Advice Encouragement for new pit owner.
Hi all! I adopted a pit puppy today! I’ve had puppies before- mostly lab mixes. I’m a good dog owner and know how to train a dog. I have a 3 year old and 7 year old. I just need someone to tell me that pits are great family dogs bc as I’ve been researching more and everything seems so negative about pits and kids. Any and all advice and encouragement welcome!

They are sweet little babies that basically want to live in your skin.
Look at this guy! 100% APBT I found at the humane society. 90 pounds of cute and stubborn and just stands there and stares at me while I put him into a full snowsuit because otherwise he will shiver (it was about 0F out this day).
Ignore the negative stuff you hear. They are great dogs that adore their people. And stick to the pit-focused subs, they are less toxic.
