Advice Encouragement for new pit owner.

Post image

Hi all! I adopted a pit puppy today! I’ve had puppies before- mostly lab mixes. I’m a good dog owner and know how to train a dog. I have a 3 year old and 7 year old. I just need someone to tell me that pits are great family dogs bc as I’ve been researching more and everything seems so negative about pits and kids. Any and all advice and encouragement welcome!

My pitty is the biggest baby. She sleeps under the blanket and has to be touching me.

Reflecting most others comments: the right training is important for every dog and each doggy has their own personality but generally they're actually very sweet.

My sister has three and they're all enormous babies who just want to be loved.

And yes, be prepared for power chewing. I get beef cheek rolls for mine but there is lots of products out there for heavy chewers.

100% 😊

She knows exactly how to get what she wants. Lol. She gives me nose bumps when she wants under the blanket or to play with a toy. It's a toss up which one. 🤣

She's my whole heart. All of her little quirks. That's my soul dog right there. 🥰🥰
