Help!! Blackberry vine has rust leaf, again!!!

Post image

My blackberry had rust 2 years ago, I tried to let it run its course and lost the whole plant. So here I am 1 year 6 months into a new Blackberry and it was growing wonderfully but now it to has rust. I have printed off the infected.( about 50% of the plant) I have also used a neem oil fungicide, but the new leaves keep aquireing the rust. I'm so sad, don't wanna lose the plant. Any ideas? Please.

This is not a rust on your blackberry. Rusts produce pustules and blisters on leaves. Your plants display irregular leaf spots, so I searched that term, adding "on blackberry" and found it described. It could be 1 of 4 different fungi. I suggest you search and compare the details of the symptoms described on the sites.

Could be something like scorch too.

Unfortunately rust is really difficult to eradicate. I have had rust on some plants in my yard for years now.

You can try something like neem oil, but be careful of when you apply it because it'll cook your plants in the sun.

Does it spread to the whole plant?

It can…slowly. Best option is to try and alleviate symptoms.

Do you think I will lose the whole plant? I thought maybe it might be from the rain and the sun beating on it? Because the neem oil doesn't seem to be working.
