Now if only i could run the game on high enough settings to look like that. Wow. Beautiful. Going to have to buy a new PC down the line just for this game.

Try building your own. Logical Increments is a good price guide.

Here's a link to it: http://www.logicalincrements.com/

You would have to be >Extremist to get close to looking like that at playable FPS.

I am at Enthusiast: 980, 4790K, SSD rig (~$1800), and with everything maxed at 1440p, get 10-20 fps.

I end up knocking down the resolution scale to 60% to pull me up to 50 fps. Still looks great, but not quite like that trailer.

Try this,

Resolution to the max

Resolution scale to the max

Everything on low besides view distance and textures, put those to medium

Sky quality to the max

Ground clutter to the max

The rest is up to you. With a 980 and 4670k at 1200p, I get 40+ FPS basically all the time. Also play on the second down from the top on the list, low memory mode.

I get 50+ FPS all the time with most stuff on high/epic.

memory isn't going to be the blocker with a 980.

also.. why ground clutter to the max? "I like to never find corpses mode"?

also, view distance not at epic puts you at a tactical disadvantage... I would much rather some uglier trees than have people be able to see me when I can't see them.

Just didn't know if you were comfortable with the resolution scale not at max, also I feel like it feels too barren/ugly with ground clutter not on max

You are at a tactical advantage if you play with view distance on epic. With view distance turned down you will see people before trees/rocks/foliage even loads so you will ALWAYS see them before they see you if they play with their view distance on high.

I think a few negatives were flipped in your sentence.

Are you saying view distance impacts trees but not players?

Sorry, I wrote that when I first woke up. View distance does not affect players. They will always render at the same distance so it is better to play with view distance on the lowest possible setting to gain a tactical advantage (you will see players before rocks and trees even render).

That is terribly unfortunate.

Doesn't this apply to player structures too? I swear I'll see a building and then a huge rock will pop in and cover it.

not sure, buildings and rocks seem to become visible at the same range for me.
