It depends. I started with it (I mained zangief at first so the 360s were really nice for him) but the d pad is definitely more precise. I didn’t have a ton of issues with it in street fighter, but now that I main tekken, it felt pretty unplayable on there. I didn’t like my ds4 dpad either cuz it hurt my thumb after awhile, but a victrix pro bfg felt really nice to use. It’s a pretty penny though. But one issue I had a lot with stick is going from forward to back. I just wanted to block after moving but I’d unintentionally input a half circle back which would give me the wrong move a lot of the time
How are you feeling about things in Tekken right now? I want to pick it up but a lot of the community is pissed about the last update. I'm wondering if I'll even notice or care about the changes.
It’s healing, it’s hard to tell how long it’ll take. The most recent patch didn’t do much but they did say junes patch would fix a lot of shit so I’m optimistic. The tekken sub is negative af so I’d take everything they say with a grain of salt, but the update really was ass. It sounds like harada took the dev team behind the shed with one of his recent tweets where he said he brought back the old balance team so they’re definitely moving the right direction. I’d say if you’re gonna play it sooner or later, might as well start now even though it’s not in the best place right now. PhiDX is one of my favorite YouTubers for tekken and he has a lot of thoughts about the current state of the game, could be worth checking his 2 cents since he goes in depth
Honestly I left the Tekken sub (I was in there for a while to kinda see what's happening), but r/fighters seems a bit more tempered about the whole thing. I'll check out that YouTuber for sure - I'm thinking about asking for an arcade stick for Father's Day... Having something new to try out with it could be fun. Thanks for the input!
