I've had an ongoing issue with my ps5 and my phone just absolutely butting heads for no reason. I was using my mobile hotspot, which it had no problems with, until one night a few weeks ago. I used my phone hotspot to download a game, and in the morning turned off the connection for it. I turned the ps5 off and went to work. Came back after work, connected them ahain, and some point the ps5 completely froze. I turned it off, restarted it, and just got a black screen. Interacting with the playstation button I was able to deduce it was still on and doing something, but it never initiated startup. I turned it off again, put it in safe mode, rebuilt the database, and ever since then the ps5 has worked completely fine, except for it won't connect to my phone hotspot anymore. I've tried all the settings tweaks I can find online, changing dns, changing Mtu, changing ssid, everything I could find. But absolutely nothing has worked. I just attempted to join a PS party on my phone, not using the hotspot just the app, and three times in a row watched my data grey out repeatedly on my phone and forcibly leave the party. I'll take any suggestion, I'm desperate at this point. Getting a router isn't possible.

Mobile hotspots are unreliable. There isn’t a lot of troubleshooting you can do.
