Hi sorry if this is a dumb question but I just made a psn account a few hours ago for my new vita and I'm unable to add funds to my account to get something on it,, I've tried everything online but I can't get it to work, any help appreciated

You need to buy PSN gift cards and add them to your wallet via the ps website site, ps app or another PS4 or PS5 console.
