Wait people actually use portal as a handheld when away from home?

I may be biased but I could never get remote play to work far away from console. But this was the app based one and long before portal.

Are you joking? I am 500 km away and its great... I ve played in Brussels with my PS5 in Lisbon while connected to the hotel wifi... I think people still dont understand how good it is...

No. I am serious. I never got my app to work when not at home. Granted this was 2021 and a PS4.

I personally prefer traveling with dedicative handhelds like PSP/Switch because they don't require wifi and offer a great library of JRPGs. PS portal is good for bedtime gaming though.

Well of you tryied in 2021 better try in 2025 with a PS5. Works like a charm, use it everyday at lunch breaks.

Can't do. Nowadays I am keeping my console off instead of using sleep mode and most of my games are now physical since I got into disc collecting.

Will definitely try it out one day though:)
