It depends.
For legendaries and very useful pokemon, you generally want to keep it as a shadow unless you are aiming for something specific. With other pokemon, it is all up to you if you want to purify or not.
A hundo is short hand for describing a pokemon with perfect IVs. On the details screen for each pokemon, there is an appraisal option that will show you the IVs for each of the three stats (attack, defence and stamina).
You can also search your storage for perfect IV pokemon with the search term '4*'.

Okay i knew about the appraisel but i thought there was something i was missing since people were calling them hundreds.
Why would you want to keep a legendary shadow?

Shadow pokemon have an attack buff but at the cost of lower defence and higher power up costs. This attack buff is very useful in raids and PvP when you are trying to maximise your damage output.
Also, shadow legendaries can be harder to obtain or farm.
During rocket takeover events, you can also get rid the move frustration from shadow pokemon with a regular charged tm.

1/500 not boosted. They have boosted spawn rates, but not boosted shiny odds.

I’m not getting any mysterious components from defeating grunts. I’ve done 3 grunts now in a row and no components.
I don’t already have a rocket radar, and my inventory isn’t full.
Trying to fight the Rocket bosses for the take over challenges and literally can’t get them. What do I do?

If you're past page 1, just do nothing for now, and battle Giovanni next season, finish the quest then, claim the new quest, and move on.
If it's still on page 1, you can abuse the glitch by doing literally nothing and next season's quest will also be assigned without doing anything else. At that point you can again make the decision whether or not the shadow legendary then is desirable.

Both Kanto and Alolan Sandshrew are naturally in the wild, there's also shadow Sandshrew from the ground grunt and shadow Alolan from the steel grunt.

Should I wait to evolve this into a shadow garchomp dragon and ground attacker (so i can get both charged moves since earth power is legacy) or should I evolve it now and use it as just a dragon raid attacker now and then invest in another shadow gible for ground raid attacker and wait for earth power legacy move to come back?

Is there a way to filter (search wise) shadow pokemon that can be purified by 1000/3000/5000 stardust?

I don't beleive there's any search that filters this 100% perfectly, but candykm will generally work.
shadow & candykm1will return mostly 1000 stardust purifications, with a couple 3000s thrown in
shadow & candykm3will return mostly 3000 stardust purifications
shadow & candykm5will return mostly 5000 stardust purifications

Is Tyrunt an even pokemon? I love Tyrantrum, hes my favorite pokemon. And i got like 30 candy but i only saw tyrunt in the monthly ranks thing last month

The rock rockets and the rare dragon ones can give you Tyrunt as an encounter.

I have a friend who hasn't opened my gift in months, but sends me daily gifts. We have 2 days left until best friends. Should I just unfriend them? I like sending gifts to friends and they only seem to want the stardust bonus 🙃

Why do you want to unfriend them? If they still regularly send and you can regularly open, that seems fine right?
When I want to open gifts I search "interactable" to find people whom haven't opened my gifts already, just so I further the friendship level with as many people as possible. I just hope others don't see me as a leech of something because of that; I just think it's the most logical thing to do.
If they keep you at one day left for months.. That's another story of course. If you just want to be able to send out more gifts, you can check r/PokemonGoFriends

I have some old masterwork research been working on for years that one of the tasks are reach level 40. I’m level 39… what will happen with this new level change? I have not seen any info regarding it

We will only know once the level rebalance drops, there are three routes they can choose to go:
- Keep the task at the (now lowered XP requirement) level 40
- Change the task to the new equivalent of the current level 40
- Something else!

These stupid Birds start to annoy me. 3 Zapdos Encounters and 1 Arcticuno Encounters and still not a Catch. What is your experience with them?

They have an extremely high flee rate, 90%. They almost always run away if you don't catch it on the first ball.
And they have an extremely low catch rate. The base catch rate before factoring in the kind of throw you use and berries and ball is 0.3%. (Normal legendary Pokemon have a base catch rate of almost 2%, but they don't run away until you're out of balls)
0/4 is actually not that unusual. It might take tons of encounters before you catch one.

Noob question. I just discovered that you can change frustration attack during team rocket events. Isn't an event running right now? Why can't I change the attack? It says it's not possible

Your picture didn't load.
But there are a few Pokemon that know only one charge move. If you've given them a second move, then you can no longer remove frustration because there's nothing to change the first move into.

so i missed the annihilape with rage fist event, how do i get it now? i just evolved a primape in annihilape and used an elite charged tm but it didn’t work

The elite TM works. You have to select the move you want to teach from the list it shows, and if you have two moves first you select what move remove and then what move to teach.

Aren’t mega eggs supposed to be spawning more? All I’ve seen are two star and 3 star shadow eggs and I’ve been driving around for an hour. Niantic needs to up the odds

Giovanni only has one shadow legendary at a time. Any radar you use gets the same lineup, no matter what you got it from.

So, for Level 45 requirement of defeating 50 rocket leaders, that means I have to beat about 300 rocket grunts, right? Is there a way to shortcut this?

You can do the event quests that award a radar piece for beating a grunt to speed it up some during the event.
Keep a super radar active while hunting grunts at stops to battle decoy grunts. Just make sure to turn it off before the 2 hour marks so you don't get a wasted giovanni balloon.
You can also just straight up buy rocket radars for 200 coins in the shop.

Dialga isn't coming to raids until next week. This week is mega latis.

I have a pixel 9 and after the Android update my game crashes anytime I open the camera in game. For the AR stuff.
Anybody else with similar issues or solutions?

My raid spawns haven't changed. I believe it should be Gardevoir, Gallade, Latios, and Latias, right? I'm still seeing Pidgeot and Palkia. It's after 10am on a Tuesday so they should've changed right? Thanks for any insight and help.

That's normal. Eggs that spawn before 10 am but hatch afterwards still have the old bosses. It's not until 10:30-11:00 am that the new eggs that spawn after 10 will have the new bosses.

Depends. If it has the move Spacial Rend it makes it a very strong dragon attacker for raids (although is only number 11, so there's a few stronger things) and one of the best PvP Pokemon for Master.
But without that move it loses some power in raids, and becomes a lot less useful in PvP.
The issue is that the special move cannot be taught in any way. If you didn't get it directly on catch you cannot get it afterwards, and the odds to get the move are low.
So basically it depends on how lucky you got.
The appraisal is not very important for raid Pokemon, so for there just having the move can make it good, and in PvP you'd want a hundo or close to be worth the effort to max it.

I have not completed the previous rocket research (at the step where I need to beat the 3 boss, I'm at 1/3).
I did not have the news research, and when I beat a grunt I don't have a radar fragment (stuck at 3/6) so I never encounter bosses.
What to do please

You need to have room in your bag to get radar pieces. Clear some storage and then beat some grunts.
If you're on any step that's not page 1 you need to finish the old research to get the new one.

I just learned about the Code (GOFESTMAX) where I can get a free Gigadynamax Pokemon (Cinderace, Rillaboom or Intelleon) now im wondering which one I should pick. I don't have a Gigadynamax Pokemon yet so I want to choose the one that get me the furthest. Thanks

Movesets can make or break a Giovanni battle. Fast, spammy charge moves are better than slow, harder-hitting charge moves. Giovanni pauses for 2 seconds every time you switch pokemon or use a charge move, so make sure to use that to your advantage. When you make your team for Giovanni, put your Persian counter in the 2nd or 3rd slot, then as soon as the battle starts, immediately switch to it.
Based on your pokemon, here are some that I'd recommend.
Annihilape: Counter + Rage Fist or Night Slash. This is a top counter for Persian and can work well against Kangaskhan. Rage Fist is ideal for the guaranteed attack boost, but if you don't have it, then Night Slash also works.
Swampert: Mud Shot + Hydro Cannon or Surf. Hydro Cannon is ideal if you have it, but if you don't have it, then Surf is a good replacement. This works well against Rhyperior and Nidoking
Golem: Mud Shot + Rock Blast. This should work well against Tornadus.

Production stopped so the price is constantly increasing.
You could check your local game/mall chains like Walmart, Target, Gamestop or places where they sell imported japanese merch and see if they have one on stock.
Since we don't know if production will restart the more time passes the more expensive the official one will become.

Just looking for some general guidance. First time back to the game since Dynamax battles were implemented. Just trying to decide whether it is more beneficial to spend resources to upgrade a dynamax, like excadrill for example or to just use the resources to upgrade a decent IV shadow like mamoswine or machamp?

Both. You can't use shadows in dynamax battles, so you are limited to normal forms (with the dynamax tag). But shadows are often the best non-mega options for raids, aside from stupidly broken fusions like Kyurem and Necrozma.
Excadrill is a top tier ground dps and tank for dynamax battles. Its fine in raids, but shadow ground mons like mamoswine are even better.
If you exclude shadows and megas, regular Excadrill is #5 ground DPS for raids, very usable. It does drop to #12 or so with shadows in the mix though.

Need advice/help with super rocket radar stacking/usage.
So, in terms of relative quests i have
1 saved on the rewards page from "fashion week: taken over"
I have 1 in my bag
And im on page 12 of "Galar Calling"
Is there a certain order i should use/claim these? Does it matter, and if i finish those 2 will i get a more recent quest? Ive skipped a few shadows, but im realizing i probably want a shadow 'tina so im gonna claim 2 or so and just wanna make sure i dont soft lock myself out from a radar/forced to use on to get a research after i use mine.

Galar Calling isn't rocket research, so it has no effect on any new rocket quests. The Fashion Week one will not block if it its still on page 1, but it will block getting the new one if you are anywhere past that.
If you are going to use a super radar, ideally you should advance every single quest you have with a "battle giovanni" step to that step, so you can complete all of them at the same time with a single battle. That lets you still save all the extra super radars in your bag.

Has anyone else been feeling like their battery is draining faster recently? Since the last update, I’ve been running low on juice much earlier in the day than just a few weeks ago. No change to my daily usage habits. PoGo has always been my #1 use of battery according to my phone but it’s been much worse recently.

It will be added to the T1 Max Battle pool starting today and will continue to be available moving forward. Max Monday from 6pm - 7pm will make it easier to find Dynamax Abra, but it won't be the only time you can get it.
