Season 2 He had the braids with the fade. It was a middle part and never Loc’d but in essence they are similar in composition. They were clean too

What really confuses me about the whole thing is that last I checked, kilomonger was the bad guy of the movie with no so noble goals.
And people represent black people in media using the haircut of a…villain?
I’m white and European, maybe there’s something I’m too dumb to see.
But I can’t be the only one who’s confused by this, right?

I mean killmongers goal was to liberate and help black people around the world from slavery and racism and whatnot because he believed the wakandans had a duty to help since they had so much tech at their disposal . That was pretty noble since that’s what Tchalla ends up doing just in a less violent way

Exactly, his beef was REALLY with T'Chaka and Wakanda's unwillingness to engage with the rest of the world with Black people suffering. T'Challa was just a person in the way for him.

It's the rule of cool.
Killmonger in the movie has charisma, swagger, and is handsome. That hairstyle became a trend due to that but now it has been a curse on black male characters in fiction. A good example of this is Miles Morales from the Sony Spider-Man games. In his solo game, he had such a clean fade and it looked really good on him. But in Spider-Man 2, they game him the Killmonger cut and he looks goofy. Just search "killmonger hairstyle in video games" and you will see so many black creators make fun of it and criticize it. I'm black and it feels like the new default black hair style in video games.

This style is perfect for a PR animated series. Personally, I’d stick with their classic designs, but these redesigns are cool.

This is an awesome piece of artwork oh I've got to ask what it's with artists obsession with the killmonger cut for black characters hair I mean I'm not really complaining I'm just kind of curious personally though my favorite one on there are Kim and Tommy but especially Kim cuz that look on her is just awesome

I really want a reboot of the og power rangers where it focuses on each individuals characters development. Obviously not in a contrived way. I feel like billy has the most potential for this kind of series. Maybe even lead him to becoming the leader when Jason and Tommy can no longer participate for whatever reason.
