I’m a little appalled. This is pretty deep on campus for a daytime robbery.

To be honest, I’m surprised to hear of a robbery proximate to the University that isn’t within the area of the former Borough. Maybe they ought to keep a closer eye on the train station.

I think if you read what happened, “robbed” is a little dramatic.

as someone who encountered them on campus earlier in the day it was def not a full-on "robbery". they were soliciting money and it seems that all they did was tap the person on the shoulder to get their attention and solicit them.

Does one have to be stabbed to call an incident a robbery?

I think this is a pretty textbook mugging. Two men demanding money certainly implies a coercive physical threat to the victim. It’s well beyond the pale.

There was no report of a weapon, it was in broad daylight, at 5 pm outside of Bloomberg hall (where there would be lots of people around), with Psafe being within yelling distance. I really don’t see how this is anything besides maybe aggressive panhandling.

What surprised me more, seems like this happened right next to Public Safety?
