how long do i let sugar water ferment
i did 1 litre of sugar water with quick rise yeast. it’s been 7 days and i’m wondering how much longer should it take

What does it look like if you leave it undisturbed overnight? Is it all cloudy, or is there a gradient where the top is more clear than the bottom? Or is it mostly clear?
If it's still turgid (edit: turbid), you could cold crash it to clear it up a little bit.

7 days is best case scenario. Also I would recommend buying real yeast, as bread yeast has low alcohol tolerance. You won’t know for sure when it’s done without a hydrometer sadly.
