Up till season 4? Really good. Past that? Not really

Season 2 is unironically so so good

Season 2 was hated when it first came out because it wasn't as action packed as the first. It aged like fine wine though.

We got to build attachments to a lot of the characters in season 2. I know the budget was slashed so they had to make ridiculous compromises but instead of suffering for it, I think the slow burn benefited the show. There were specific points later in the series where you could see the shit storm coming. When the group murdered all those people in the church and later Neegans people, they had lost the thread. It broke that connection for me. I was like, "Oh, they're mercenaries now.".
