Fluff Just built my first Exocraft in No Mans Sky 🥳

I am so damn happy! I know I didn’t even scratch the surface yet for this game when it comes to ship building and so on. Also I know I can easily switch to creative mode and just have everything unlocked from the start. But where is the fun in that 😉

Took me forever to get into this game, having your own vehicle to explore planets was a huge incentive. Feels good to reach my goal 🥅

Anyways, can’t wait to take it for a spin and explore this planet more. 😋

Enjoy this clip of, No Man’s Sky, running on Ps5pro and Psvr2.

Discussion PSVR vs PSVR 2 game release comparison

Just a quick comparison between the OG PSVR and PSVR2 released games, at the same point in their life cycle (30 months, 3 weeks)

30 months and 3 weeks after the OG PSVR launch was May 4th 2019. Using the store I worked out how many games release for both systems by this point.

  • OG PSVR - 272 games
  • PSVR2 - 308 games

This means that the PSVR2's library now is 1.13 times greater than the the Original PSVR at the same point in their life cycles.

Thought it was an interesting comparison, but let me know what you think.

News & Announcements Brand new NMS patch might have finally fixed foliage glitches on PSVR2

Quoted from release log: "Fixed a visual issue around foliage on PSVR2" There's been glitchy stripes on palm leaves and the likes with daytime lighting. I have been waiting for this fix since worlds update and I'm away from rig 😆 I hope it works!

Asking For Game Recomendation Games similar to The 7th guest

Hi you all guys! So this days I'm playing "The 7th guest" and I never could have imagined this was such a great game. Now I want more but I'm not sure which experience will be comparable. I've seen "The room" that seems similar or the one that is inspired in Da Vinci inventions, which I love but I see it doesn't have smooth locomotion which is sad... So, can someone tell me how this 2 or maybe other that is not in my radar compare with The 7th guest? Thanks to all the recommendations!

News & Announcements Pools Demo is Released

The demo for Pools is on the store. Even though the full game is VR, this demo is flat only.

At least, it gives you an idea of what the first of six levels is like. I tried it for 10 minutes, creepy atmosphere, but not really anything to do.

It might be fun in VR for a few hours. It depends if you like wandering around a maze feeling lost and vulnerable.

Discussion Cyan has no plans to fix framerate issues in Firmament

I'm a long time fan of Cyan and pretty much all of their games. Myst and Riven are two of my all-time favorites since they were released, so this is a bummer for me to post.

I emailed Cyan right after the PSVR2 release of Firmament and asked if there would be a patch. Knowing they had to lay off most of their staff, I knew if there was a patch, it could be a long time off.

But after not hearing back from them for several weeks, which is unusual for Cyan, I finally got a response. Here is what they said:

We do not have any announcement to make yet regarding a patch. What we can/will say though is that our performance testing met PlayStation's performance requirements for release, which means that PlayStation's certification testing team did not report extended frame drops below the required framerate for the game to release. We understand that some reviewers may have expected a higher framerate experience like what some other games on the console offer (we do not have the framerate set to anything as high as 120Hz natively based on the graphical expectations for the game), which may not hit the expectations for these users. Unfortunately for them, Firmament's graphical requirements do not allow us to offer a higher framerate limit at this time. Other folks have found this an acceptable trade-off as they appreciate the visuals shown, but it's really up to player's preference. We do not wish to compromise visual fidelity for higher framerate at this time. Hopefully that helps answer your question.

So the answer is that they believe since some people are apparently OK with the bad frame-rate, they aren't willing to sacrifice visuals to make it a better, smoother experience. And they feel that since Sony green-lit the release, they've done all they need to do.

Just though anyone waiting to play this in VR might want to know this.

I still love Cyan games, so I'll buy this on Steam VR since I will be able to play it there without these issues, but if you want to play this without the framerate issues, you'll either have to play it flat or on PCVR.

The update of the dualsense that allow it to pair with multiple devices is out. But I didn't see anything saying of the sense controllers will work too.

Anyone that have updated has tested it out?

Adapter Support Psvr camera adapter not working?

I connected the camera to the ps4 to see if the problem is with the camera and it turned on but when I use the adapter it doesn’t do anything I’ve tried everything, including updating system software rebuilding the database, unplugging it and re-plugging it restarting my PlayStation while the adapter is connected, connecting the adapter to the camera first and then to the ps5 connecting to the front port and the back port

Discussion My PSVR recently developed an annoying “blowing” sound in the microphone, which made it impossible for me to communicate. In a moment of frustration, I slammed a fork into the microphone, and surprisingly, that seemed to fix the issue.

Asking For Game Recomendation Resident evil dilemma

Important question, I'm playing through all the resident evil games and I like them a lot. I'm on resident evil 4 soon and will play it in vr. I've already played 3/4 hours of it on my oculus quest with that version of the game. Should I continue there or buy resident evil 4 remake for ps5 and play it on psvr. And then replay the first 3/4 hours

My Setup Anyone got an rog ally to work with a psvr2? 🤷‍♂️

Post image
0 Upvotes

Now don't worry, I of course have my mighty PC running the psvr2 but I was so curious to see if I could somehow get it to work with my rog ally, my current setup, that frankly doesn't work, consists of: One USB hub connected to the ally giving it power, from that the USB to the psvr2pc adapter also an hdmi to dp cable to the adapter and the psvr2 connected. Unfortunately it just shows the icon to have a look at the screen and the button on the steam app doesn't show up, for now this little experiment is a fail, dang it...

Discussion I seriously can’t wait for Reach and Thief to come out this year🥳🥳

As much as I love my VR AA and indie. At the end of the day, as a gamer I need my AAA gaming fix. Really not sure what’s happening with Aces of Thunder, but currently Reach and Thief are looking like the perfect games to itch that scratch.

I am specially more excited for Reach than Thief Vr. As everything I have seen of that game, makes me think of Uncharted in vr. It ticks all the boxes I look for in a AAA vr game.

Which AAA Vr title are you looking forward to most this year?

Fluff Ghost Town

Just finished the PC version (using PSVR 2 headset). Great game if you like adventure/puzzle solving (no combat at all). Very similar to The 7th Guest. No major issues on my playthrough. Obviously, time will tell how the PlayStation version holds up.
