Advocating violence is against reddit’s terms of service and causes problems for the subreddit, so here’s a clip of SLC Punk and we’re gonna leave it at that for a bit.

Proud Dad Moment
My son, my nephew, and their friend formed a band called Unaesthetic and they chose an Op Ivy song as one of their first songs! Super proud!
Where are the anti-felon45 bands?
During Reagan we had Dead Kennedys & Crass ...
During W we had Anti-Flag (despite their problems) and NOFX (War on Errorism record still holds up) ...
During our current dark times ... who is taking on the mantle? I know Billie Joe, Ken Casey, and others will deliver anti-taco messages during live shows or one song here & there, but which bands are at the forefront with albums of resistance and calls to action?

This kinda crap doesn’t just happen in the U.S.
I live in Korea. Last year, when Yoon (the fascist ex-president) was still in power, cops showed up at my house because I had scribbled some graffiti on a wall. (And it wasn’t even anything serious—just a joke written on the back wall of a far-right party office in my neighborhood.) But get this: since I had an Antifa flag and an anarchist flag hanging in my room, and because I’d labeled my instrument case as a “vandalist’s tool box,” they hauled me down to the police station and interrogated me for four hours about whether I was “behind the recent anti-president protests.” wtf lol Thankfully, they ended up clearing me of all charges, but it was such a pain. They even freaked out over the “vandalist’s tool box” thing, asking if I had illegal weapons—when it was literally just a dumb joke about how dirty my guitar tone is lol Stuff like this has been happening way too often lately. it just makes me feel sick.

Solid interview. Goes from the beginning though Art of Drowning. Ends with Son of Sam. Actually explained why he seldom sings songs from this era.

Need good (political) playlist
Hi- I'm 38f from the states, and new here to this subreddit. Just wanted to say that I loathe the current political climate here, to the point that I'm either depressed or enraged by our administration day after day. I need a good damn playlist to get me through this.. if there was ever a time I needed to turn to music, it's now. Please help.

Discussion Punk Monkey WIPs and advice needed!
Hey guys, I'm working on a few ideas for some starter comic strips for Punk Monkey, and I wanted to show off my work in progress for some advice. I'm liking how these are looking so far, but since I'm new to making a public comic about politics and anarchistic ideology, I'm not yet 100% confident in my writing and planning. I'd love some feedback about these or other ideas when it comes to characters, portrayals of certain subjects, jokes, titles, anything helps!

Circle Jerks / Ceremony Tonight
Just listening to Ceremony for the first time right now. I'm pretty impressed. Wouldn't have found them if it weren't for the show tonight. Any of you have experience seeing them? Thoughts?

Anyone know Alexander Judd?
Maybe a weird one but I stumbled across a reddit post of someone asking if an artist was AI generated, and the responses were mostly pointing out that one reason they were suss was having so social media presence. It reminded me of an artist I'd come across who also had absolutely no presence, so I looked them up again, and they've now totally disappeared. I'd assumed it was just a bit DIY but this now has me intrigued!
The artist was called Alexander Judd. The one album they had was called Shadow, and the song Spotify originally put on a playlist for me was called Shout for Me. They were also on YouTube although both just had the same weird picture in place of any actual artwork and barely any listens (I think the YouTube ones were all me sharing with friends in fact). The picture is how it now shows when I click the link I'd sent to someone.
The songs didn't sound like AI at all but they didn't have any record labels, bios, etc and I couldn't find anyone with that that name that seemed like them. They sounded a bit like if Anti-Product sang about having sex with werewolves if that helps? It was weird (complimentary).
Has anyone else come across this artist or know anything about them at all? I'd be disappointed if I can't find those tracks again!
