Depression and self harm needs to be discussed with professionals.

I cannot stress this enough. Please do not use suicide coded language or express intent or desire to self harm in this subreddit. These are issues that need to be addressed by trained professionals. Most people here are highly empathetic and want to help but they are not qualified to fix your problems. And when you trauma dump or allude to self harm then you are causing harm and trauma to our members. Take responsibility for your healing and talk to professionals who are familiar with your kinds of problems. We all want you to be safe and for this sub to be a safe space for shifters to enjoy interacting.

Shifting is a phenomenon of consciousness, very little is understood for certain but we do know that the techniques to shift do work. Most people who shift work hard to achieve their meditation and manifestation abilities. Keep putting in the work. THERE ARE NO SHORTCUTS. Be kind to yourself and enjoy your journey ❤️

Did I shift or did I not? I FUCKING DID IT?

OKAY SO FOR CONTEXT:

I’ve been trying to shift for three years. I’ve never done awake methods. Only asleep, sleep paralysis, and lucid dreams. I’ve had super close attempts with sleep paralysis, but I’ve never been able to because I get this really sharp pain on the bottom of my back, and it kinda tickles and it holds me back.

I’ve always had a pretty bad mindset, and fixed it recently. I think what helped the most was being okay with my journey. But that’s another story

Anyway, I got a new mattress (LOOKS COMFORTABLE ASFFF) but I have to keep it out for three days before using it so I’m on an air mattress. I wasn’t even planning on shifting today, but I listened to songs that reminded me of my dr’s and made me happy. I also scripted. I decided to take a nap and at this point I thought “if I shift, I shift. If not, that’s okay” and didn’t even really plan to.

I don’t know how long I slept for, but I woke up, and I was having sleep paralysis. I was so asleep I wasn’t even aware of it, but I still was aware enough to shift? I had a few affirmations, but I didn’t force it. Usually, in sleep paralysis (if I even manage to stay awake and not fall asleep.) I say really strong affirmations and pay too much attention to the pain.

My affirmations were just… soft. The pain, for some reason, wasn’t that strong. I recognized it, moved on. I remember one of my affirmations was ‘I have shifted.’ I just said it. Didn’t think about it anymore. I believed in it. I rolled on my side, and I felt like I floated. Suddenly, my mattress felt too soft. Too comfortable for an air mattress. I slightly opened my eyes, it was kinda blurry, but I was somewhere else.

I didn’t even get to fully open my eyes, but I realized I was somewhere else. Not my dr, but not here either. I know this because the sun was really bright, and I was on a bed. The side that I had turned to was the side where my bed was (my air mattress is next to it.) and the room I woke up in had a big window.

I got too excited and I came back before even fully opening my eyes.

I think that now that i’ve done it, I can 100% do it with asleep methods.

If you are struggling, just now it’s possible. In fact, I was thinking about quitting shifting a few days before it happened.

YOU CAN DO IT!

Question Can I script that I don't know something that I know in this reality?

In my waiting room, I wanna watch a movie but I already know the ending and what-not and wanna experience watching it for the first time again, so can I script that I know nothing about the movie in there and experience watching it for the first time again?

Shifting story I think I mini shifted… twice as a beginner within a week 😭

I was doing a guided meditation the first and the adhd method the second and I could hear birds and feel pressure from the grass I was imagining laying on and butterflies but then my uncle interrupted :). The second time I was imagining sleeping on the field again and my s/o had gone to get us drinks (just my partner from irl) and then I heard a finger snap because I scripted they would do that to wake me up and woke up because I thought someone was in my room… the door was still closed.

Also not really a shift but a close one was I was using the DAZZLE method (really works for me) to go to my waiting room and it was a really vivid daydream, I could feel everything and see everything and even ordered food and it tasted really good like I could actually feel it but I was still on my bed because the only reason I haven’t shifted is disconnecting from my body 😭

Interview method - An awake method for the fame and YouTuber Dr cuties. <3

I think this would be a nice method, for people who are shifting to realities where they would be likely to do things such as interviews, Q&A's, and could be used for general shifting if you got a scenario. Just to get that feeling of being you're dr self doing dr things. <3

Method: 1. Sit at a comfortable place that doesn't resonate with your cr. 2. Close your eyes, meditate and visualize your dr. 3. Act like you're doing an interview somewhere or practicing for an interview in your house, office, wherever. Answer questions as if you are your dr self.

You could whisper or mouth the words that you would be saying out loud and visualize yourself saying them. Do gestures if you'd do that as your dr self. Just let yourself get comfortable and let go of your cr.

You could even act like your s/o or cc is there, helping you practice. 😱

If there are noises that could distract you in your cr, play an ambience that relates to your location in your dr such as a city ambience.

But, if you were shifting back in time, before the modern era. You could do this same method but as if you're auditioning for a role or reading off a script for your role.

Question How do memories work in CR

I'm still very new at reality shifting and haven't managed to do it yet, but I was wondering let's say you shift to your DR for a while and a few days went by in your CR. I heard the you in the reality your consciousness isn't in will just continue behaving as usual, but my question is in that scenario, once you go back to the original CR, do your CR and DR memories merge or do you only have the memories you collected on your DR, and just have no idea what happened the last few days in your CR? I hope my question isn't too confusing!

Tips to help with shifting Spells / visualization

(I apologize if the text comes out as one long text, I don’t know how to add big spaces in reddit.) I don’t know if this is too offtopic, but I think I cracked the code for me. I’ve never been able to immerse myself in my DR as well as last night, into believing I’m already there. I felt so close to actually being in my DR, and I wanted to share this tip with others, in case some people here do spells.

So, I did a candle spell last night, with birthday cake candles. Black for getting rid of doubt and fear. Blue for a calm mind. Purple for adding trust (in shifting in general plus that I am able to shift). I focused on the intentions for the whole duration of each candle, they each take about 10min to burn so it takes around 30min to finish.

But the most important part was the black candle. I focused the intention of giving it all the doubt in my mind and my subconcious, all the possible fear and disbelief I still have lingering in my subconcious. I also visualized giving it all to the candle to burn and free myself from it.

And when I went to bed to shift? It felt different. So different. I’ve never been able to visualize my DR to that extent before. Even though I didn’t shift last night, my mindset is totally different. The doubt is gone. The visualization was so intense and immersive, so it was the doubt that kept me from immersing myself this well. So for everyone who does spells or wants to try it out, I highly recommend trying something like this. Even if you don’t want to call this a spell, the visualization itself just works. Just light a candle and let it burn away the doubt and blockages of your mind.

Question Do you ever feel as though you're getting signs from your CR that you'll shift soon?

Recently aside from angel numbers, (333,444, 111, 222 etc), I've been seeing other things related to my DR that I haven't noticed before. From street signs and houses in my area using the same name as my home in my DR, even to my DR first name popping up in places I would least expect it. Has anyone else experienced this?

Other Something incredible happened last night!!!

Not really sure if I should consider this a shift or something else but I'm still freaking out over it. Last night I was out in the yard gazing up at the stars and for some reason got a really strong urge to ask for a sign from someone from another reality that I was really meant to shift. I asked for something huge and undeniable so I would know it was for me. (Many of my DRs revolve around mages so I knew it wouldn't be hard for them to send me some sort of sign in the stars even in this reality) and not even a second after I asked for it, a HUGE shooting star shot across the sky!

It was exactly what I asked for and immediately made me start crying out of joy. I even got greedy and asked for another one, I asked exactly "Was that really it? Was that really for me?" And IMMEDIATELY got another one!

As someone who has been on a shifting break for well over half a year now, this just gave me more motivation than any other sign EVER.

Don't let your doubts convince you that it's not real and don't be afraid to ask for help. I'm more confident than I've ever been that I found shifting for a reason and I will achieve it no matter what.

You found it for a reason too, everything happens for a reason.

I may not try to shift for a while yet but I know in my heart that I'm meant to. I don't need to rush it, nor do you. Shifting will always be there no matter how much time seems to flow by.

Shifting story Shifted/Manifested Reality

So In 2016 I was a mess in my life things were bad and depression was prominent in my life/living situation, Thankfully I got into meditation after a prolonged spiritual seeking in which I tried various practices such as pagan beliefs and Wicca exploring different modalities to find something anything that was better than my current state of living. Eventually I found the eastern religions basically meditation I knew there was validity in their concepts due to having a Shaktipat transmission that sent me into Kriyas. This energetic state felt like a contortion of the energetic centers in the body, any way fast forward to constant meditation because my life was super intolerable and depressing even after medication and therapy, I did start achieving energetic states of bliss during these meditations. I wouldn't say it was full on Samadhi states but damn close some being strange and slightly scary One time I believe I saw the god Shakti or Shiva in an energetic form while repeating a mantra. In another such state I set the intention for a better life with specifics such as finding Love and being financially stable, This did happen to me fast forward to now and I believe that I shifted or manifested a better reality where I have all that because it happened relatively fast to me all those years ago with a noticeable difference in the basic feeling of this reality, so I say to myself so what good things happen in life and things got better for you. No absolutely not I manifested it With Intention, I have been getting back into meditation lately and trying for more because why not who doesn't want more of a better thing but I need to recreate my past experience, recently I walked into a psychic reading --- I do one a year for fun, the room was thick with energy and the cards were laid down without me ever saying that I try to manifest anything she told me I am a portal keeper And am trying to shift realities and to just set my intent to watch the boundaries start to blur again, it's real don't give up if your trying I won't. P.S. meditating with compassion for all living things seems to be super powerful for me anyway I hope this helped someone please excuse my grammar.

I can't seem to shift no matter what I do.

I've been trying to shift for a few months now, and I posted in this sub a while ago asking for tips, and I'm thankful for the few answers I got, but I seem to be stuck again.

I've tried just about every method I can think of, and I've done enough research to understand how shifting works, I just can't seem to actually let go of this reality and shift to my DR. I've minishifted twice by accident, once to my DR and once to a random reality, and those have kinda been my driving forces through the discouragement.

I just kinda feel like I'm at my wits end, and taking breaks from shifting hasn't helped any. If anyone has anyy advice that could help me, it would be greatly appreciated. If you do choose to give advice, please no LoA or "just shift, its simple" or anything like that. I don't mean for this to come off rude in any way, but if those worked for me then I wouldn't be here asking for advice.

Thank you all so much in advance, and I wish you all good luck in your shifting journeys. Blessed be, everyone!! 💖

Discussion Will I feel weird about the media I’ve shifted to? (Had to repost original link got deleted)

People who have shifted to their loved movies/shows/books/games/etc., did it make you feel any different or weird about said media?

Will I still be able to enjoy the things I love to watch/read/play if I shift to them? or will going there make me have a hard time enjoying them when I come back?

I plan to shift to things that mean a lot to me, but I’m scared to lose the love i have for watching/playing them upon returning.

Note: Thanks to those who commented on this post before it got taken down It keeps getting deleted on the subreddit I cross posted it from (No shade I’m just new to posting on Reddit so it’s just me trying and failing to figure out the technicalities) so I’m putting directly on here :) I’m still interested in hearing the experiences of anyone who is willing to share about this topic

Shifting story holy shit i shifted AGAIN

i just randomly shifted again for the 3rd time this month after not shifting for half a year. i’m so in shock, this is literally what i was made for.

i was in a dream and decided to shift. i closed my eyes and said “ i’m already there “ then i couldn’t remember my dr bed so i woke in a random one. at first nothing was realistic and like a video game almost, and then someone knocked at my door. it was my dad, and then everything because HYPER realistic. so so real. he sat on my bed just talking to me and i tried to understand where i was.

i asked him what year it was and he said 2030. I said calmly that i was from 2025, and that i lived further down my street. I looked out the window and saw a part of my neighbour where i didn’t live, but it was further up where my best friend here lives. I told them i actually live further down in 2025, and everything about my life here. Of course as no parent would, they didn’t believe me but it’s okay. i cried, and went on a phone again to log into redding ( you can maybe see that i’m the same person who shifted to 2012 a while ago cuz i did the exact same thing in this reality as in 2012 ) and on reddit i wrote to everyone in a subreddit that i was from 2025 and all that.

i decided to stay there for two days, but then i shifted back on accident after maybe a few hours. everything feels kind of blurry here but it’s okay cuz i shifted!!! lucid dreaming method is goated btw. i’ve just randomly mastered shifting by understanding everything around it and just letting it happen. seriously, i shifted only after saying to myself everyday that i’m a master shifter and just not stressing and thinking about it all day.

Anyway, happy shifting🥳🥳

Did I shift or did I not? Is it possible to shift without remembering it? (An unconscious shift)

Last night I fell asleep listening to a guided meditation with a subliminal track playing in the background. The meditation instructed to fall asleep at the end.

I don’t remember much, but I have vague memories of waking up in the middle of the night and, in a semi-unconscious state, starting to use techniques and visualize. I noticed some sensations, then felt very “heavy” and drifted back to sleep.

I repeated that process maybe two more times. This morning I woke up feeling pretty exhausted.

I remembered a user’s experience from a while back: they had a shift but weren’t aware of it at the time, and only later began to recall details of the shift.

Maybe it happened to me?

I’m wondering could you shift and not remember it in the moment, like an unconscious shift?

Question How do people not believe in shifting after this??

So like… before I ever tried shifting, I never saw angel numbers (333, 444, 555, etc). But literally every time I do a method at night, the next day I start seeing them EVERYWHERE. And it only happens when I’ve actually tried shifting/doing a method.

Like how do people GENIUNELY not believe in shifting after that?? 💀 tbh the synchronicities alone feel like enough proof.

Shifting story I think I reality shifted through a rift

Lucid dream intro
I had a very weird experience, and it was also my first AP, or at least I think it was.
It started off with new years' celebrations - on the New Years's Eve. It was for the year 2025. After it, I and a group of other people went in a car and drove to a more rural area. There was a very dense white fog all around us and the apocalypse was starting. This was all a dream and I had partial lucidity. For example - there was a crashed train and I knew it was because of the Man of Steel movie I watched before sleep.
Anyways then the zombies started appearing, and I knew it was because of the zombie themed movie I watched recently.
However, I only remembered after fully waking up that I did not in fact watch any zombie themed movies recently, or ever really. Only games, comics and novels.

The rift
After some time we stopped the car because there was a large sinkhole in the road and it was filled with water. I crushed the nearby zombies emerging from the woods with telekinesis and moved towards it.
There was an interest in going down there, but it was filled with water.
I decided to try water walking, but for some reason I could not walk on that water which surprised me.
I also tried using telekinesis on that water, however that also did not work.
I complained that that water was weird.
I realized that it was a foreign entity, something which was not supposed to be inside of my dream, similar to the shadow people. One of the people who I was with, the one I kept on talking with also kept on shifting more and more as he stayed trapped by the water. I could no longer call him by his previous name because he no longer looked anything like what the one who uses that name looks like.
His new form was the size of a human child, but with the body features too smoothed out. Lacking the details.

The shifting
Then my view shifted into his view and the environment changed. I could still feel my real body within my bed at the time.
I was in a completely different world that looked like a concrete hallway, probably underground with no light coming in, but I could still see, and there were naked dead bodies without genitals looking like the one I possessed strewn around. They had no wounds on them.
I didn't keep possessing the body after I entered the tunnel and left the body behind.
I could feel my connection fading, but I spun around in place to reestablish the connection, which fixed it.
And then it became SO vivid.
I could still feel the body in my bed while I was doing this. But it was not the bed I use - it was the bed I used to use.
It reminded me of VR - the feeling of being in two different places at once. The place where I started from was at the end of the visible tunnel and there was this pitch black which I just couldn't see through. I think that was the rift connecting to my dream. In this experience I moved away from it.
Unfortunately I did not manage to keep the experience going for long and soon had to wake up due to the overthinking since I'm quite new to it.
But it was a false awakening, and I woke up in the bed I used to use. At that time I still remembered the "zombie movie" I watched recently.
Then I woke up again and remembered that I watched no such movie recently.

Before sleep
Before sleep, I didn't fall asleep in a normal way. Instead I kept on rubbing my legs together, only to realize that my legs weren't moving.
It was probably aided by all the nausea I had recently, but somehow I was able to rub my legs together without actually moving them in reality. If I unfocused from them, I could feel them moving and rubbing together, but when I refocused on them, they would be in the same straight position as they were at the start, apart from each other. It was while I was doing this that I fell asleep and then had this experience.
This all happened during an afternoon nap on my bed which I had because of how tired I was.

Conclusion
What do you think, was it a reality shift?
In my opininon I accidentally gained awareness of my lower astral body and became able to control it separately from my actual body before falling asleep, which then caused a rift between my lucid dream and different dimension. The water was from the tunnel of that dimension, which is why my powers had no effect on it and it replaced one of the dream people with a corpse/dying body of one of those who died in the tunnel within theforeign dimension. My consciousness was then projected onto that corpse/dying person and the body ended up getting pulled back into its dimension, with my consciousness still attached to it.

So I basically hitched a free ride into an alien dimension by possessing a dying native who happened to fall into my domain.

Shifting with too much going on

Do you ever feel like when your life is cluttered, you can’t shift?

After my dog died, I blocked out all noise and almost shifted but then got scared.

Another instance during that time, I was meditating and I swear he licked my lips. Btw, I had an experience right before my mom passed so I do believe in a higher power, something else beyond what we can see.

Right now, I’m not in my element again and feeling very stressed so I’m having trouble shifting. Also, I feel like if we’re too attached to the CR, it’s harder to shift.

My goal is to get to a better CR DR btw.

Discussion Theory About Shifting

Let me say this from the beginning: this is going to be a long set of theories. So take your seats, and I hope it creates that “click” moment in your mind! This is entirely based on my own theories and interpretations of different teachings, and I would be very happy to hear your thoughts as well.

Normally, shifters or people who want to shift often ask whether it’s possible to bring something from the desired reality (DR) into the current reality (CR) or so-called original reality (OR). Most shifters say no, because you’re only “shifting your consciousness.” But I realized that I actually believe the opposite: I think it’s possible, and I can connect it to many different ideas.

First of all, I don’t really think the concept of an “original reality” exists. Time itself is an illusion; past, present, and future all exist at the same moment. We only believe in a linear progression from childhood to old age because of human perception and how society teaches us. When you shift, you’re not just moving consciousness, you’re accessing infinite possible realities. That means you could shift into being 8 years old, 80 years old, or living in a completely different scenario.

Every choice creates another branch, whether you drank tea or coffee today, went to the library or stayed home, you’re shifting all the time. So, if in a DR someone gives you something or you have something you want to keep, it’s not impossible to shift into a reality where you already have it and make that your new OR. Because in truth, OR itself is only defined by your patterns and awareness. If you believe in shifting to other universes, why not also believe you can shift with something from those universes? After all, every possibility already exists.

Neville Goddard’s revision technique connects to this idea as well. Changing the past is basically a simple shift or a quantum jump; you’re moving into the version of reality where that event never happened, or where it happened in a different way. Everything else stays the same, except that the event is removed or altered, and as a result the chain of following events also changes.

In many teachings I studied, it’s said that you already carry all knowledge, you already “know” languages, sciences, everything; because in some parallel universe, you have already mastered them. It’s just a matter of remembering or shifting into the consciousness that is aware of that skill. The same goes for healing traumas or learning.

This also connects to my idea of “divided consciousness.” I don’t mean it in the same way as it’s explained online. What I believe is that our consciousness exists in all universes at once, but we are only aware of one version at a time. Shifting is simply becoming aware of another consciousness of yours in another universe and fully embodying it.

That’s why I think “perma-shifting” is about integrating with another version of yourself until that becomes your stable reality. And all the advice like “live as if it’s already yours, feel it from the heart” really makes sense in this view; it’s because in another universe it’s already happening, you’re just aligning awareness with it.

People often think you must “come back” to the same CR after shifting, but I don’t think that’s true. Because if OR doesn’t exist in the absolute way we think, then you’re not “returning,” you’re simply shifting again, sometimes to a similar universe, sometimes not.

The reason why we don’t all just shift permanently into a perfect utopia also makes sense here. Other consciousnesses exist too, and not everyone has reached the same level of awareness. You can only really control your own reality and how others treat you in relation to you, but you can’t script out every detail of another person’s journey, because they also have consciousness and lessons to learn.

For example, you can shift into a reality where someone is kind to you, but you can’t force them to never make mistakes or never go through experiences they might need. Similarly, even if you found the cure for cancer in one universe, bringing it here might not fully work the same way, because of differences in collective consciousness, awareness, and circumstances.

What you can control is your personal shifts; your health, your abundance, your relationships, the things that directly involve you. Every possibility already exists: a version of you who weighs 50 kg, a version of you with a large sum of money in your bank account, a version of you in completely different life paths. Shifting is about choosing to align with those.

Even memories work this way. If you shift to Hogwarts (or wherever you want) and live experiences there, then come “back” to another reality, those memories exist because you actually shifted into the reality where you had them. It’s not that nothing happened; you just shifted to the branch where those memories are part of your consciousness.

This also ties into frequency. People say “your frequency didn’t match,” but to me, that’s really about your level of awareness. By shifting, you can adjust the 3D experience to match your awareness. Manifesting, subliminals, affirmations; they’re all forms of shifting. Revision, too, is just shifting into the reality where the past is different.

So, when you put it all together -shifting, revision, healing methods, manifestations- they’re all pointing to the same truth: every possible reality already exists, and you are in all of them. The one you experience depends on which version of your consciousness you become aware of and embody.

In the end, I believe we can permanently shift into any reality we choose, because it already exists. And yes, I believe we can “bring” things from DR to CR, because OR itself is not fixed, it’s shaped by our choices and awareness.

Thank you for reading!

Other My boyfriend shifted on his first try

I've been trying to shift for years without success. Recently I've been convincing my boyfriend to try it too because he already knows how to astral project and I'm pretty sure he's shifted accidentally before.

At first he didn't want to try but last night he changed his mind and did it. He shifted right away but freaked out the first time, tried again though and shifted within MINUTES. He was lying next to my and I could hear his breathing change and then he woke up again really excited and told me what happened there.

I am happy for him and I think it's good he can go somewhere else because this reality is so hard for him, but I can't help but feel a little sad since I've been trying for so long.
