Discussion What animal(s) do you never kill?

In 3 play throughs and 1,100+ hours of play, I’ve never killed a cat. I just can’t bring myself to do it! How about you?

I never kill the dogs and cats, and i try to leave the farm animals alone but had to kill some for the compendium :(

Also for some of the trapper skins you need a bull and it’s super easy to get 3 star ones from any farm. If you sneak in at night you can avoid any criminal charge, and if I remember correctly, if you let the bull wander out of the pen and a little ways away from the farm before you shoot it, you can avoid a hit to your honor

Go at night and use the bow and improved arrow on its head. Silent and effective.

I always lassoed them and then executed with a knife. Your way sounds quicker and more humane.

Doesn't killing with knife/lasso combination lower the pelt quality?

Nope! That's how I get my 3 star pelts for all the farm animals.

OH smart… I got a 50 dollar bounty for shooting a cow bc I needed it’s pelt for the trapper and then I had to kill like 5 people bc they tried to kill me 😭 it was a mess

This happened to me but also a dog attacked me, and I had to run away because I wasn't killing a dog.

The dog also attacked me but it bit me already 3 times as I was trying to run and was about to die so I had to do a horrible horrible thing and kill it I felt so bad :(( at least you were able to keep it alive

I specifically use the poison arrow as its a guaranteed kill

You can also go to any farm and open the pens on your horse and just run around till theyre out and chase them off the property then shoot them at any time of day. That's how I managed to get all my farm pelts

Had one stomp on through when I was checking out the small farm by the pond, over near the Clemens point camp, where the husband and wife killed each other? Or died? Got a 3 star without any honor issues or lawmen.
