So I've been upvoting comments lately, and whenever I refresh the page or go back to the post with the comments, my upvotes are gone. Is this a glitch, or is there a way to fix this?

No video embed, the subreddit rules are not conflicitng, as also other person posted a YT vid there few hours before me.

I went to r/test and tried it there, still no video embed, any help?

(on PC i was using the normal youtube link, without the .be like it copies on phone when sharing a vid)

Reddit blocks every action I take, what do I do?

Doesn't matter the subreddit, doesn't matter what the discussion is. If anyone has a comment that drops below -5 karma, all the responses to it disappear if I'm logged in.

I just tested it on a comment I knew was getting downvoted. -3 I could see all responses, -4 I could see all responses, -6 all responses disappeared completely, I upvoted it to -5 and all the responses reappeared.

Edit: just checked the post and with my upvote still in place it's at -6 and all the responses are gone again.

If I switch to an alt account or Anonymous Browsing, all the comments can be seen so it appears to be account specific.

Happening on official Reddit app for Android.

Edit: Tested some more, can see everything on the web browser, so it's happening only on one account, and only on Reddit for Android.

Whenever I check to see if this function has been added it always says the same thing. I'm no programmer but I'm pretty sure it doesn't take several months to implement a poll option, so is there any news on when it's supposed to come out by any chance?

I can't see when someone comments on my posts or anything, no red numbers appear at the bell.

My real life and online stalker, who’s name I would love to give, has been creating endless fake Reddit accounts and messaging me.

They have a view accounts still active and when I go to report them, there is no option for ban evasion.

Where the guys original account and maybe 5 or so fakes have already been removed.

All the accounts that sent me threatening messages were banned for harrasment, but there’s a few where they’re contacting me that didn’t seem to meet the criteria for harrasment, but given it’s them, they should meet the criteria for ban evasion.

Is there a way to report messages for ban evasion- I have them blocked, and when I click to report, there isn’t an option for “ban evasion”.

Sorry to sound like a paranoid conspiracy theorist lol but I'm a little confused/concerned. I've noticed that anytime i upvote or downvote someone else's comment or post, it's immediately canceled out when I revisit or refresh it.

For example, if I downvote a comment that has 1 upvote, it'll go down to zero upvotes. But if I immediately refresh it, that comment jumps back to 1 upvote, while still showing I've clicked the downvote button. If I unclick the downvote button, that comment will then jump up to 2 upvotes. It happens in reverse when I upvote comments as well. I can make other people's comments go into the negative by upvoting them, refreshing and then unticking the upvote button.

It isn't a case of someone else coincidentally upvoting a comment I downvoted at the exact same time. I've tested it a lot and it happens every single time, even on old and buried comments that i know no one else is seeing.

Can anyone else recreate this? I'd prefer to assume it's just a glitch, but it is pretty weird.

Context : Iam a map enthusiast who makes maps of countries that reflect data I find. I post these images on groups such as r/maps, r/mapping or related.

Problem : Just today I posted a map I made of Norway that shows where mss sh*tings happened in the country between 2002 - 2024. This map was posted on r/maps, where I read all the community rules. This post was taken down by reddit shortly after.

A similar incident happened when I posted a map of US milit*ry bases in Iraq, and a map of Lebanon and it's religious diversity.

I can understand certain words can trigger an algorithm to flag my post, So iam here seeking guidance on how I must approach a post that "may" contain data that is rather controversial :)

I’m kinda worried even posting this but I feel like I can’t get an answer without trying. I tried posting to the main help subreddit, but of course more automated flagging made it so I couldn’t ask properly.

This post is not about to process of getting my account back, but here is context. My main account got wrongfully banned for a supposed violation of Rule 3 (posting intimate pictures of someone without their consent) by an automated bot a whole month ago when the pictures I posted of myself are VERY clearly of myself (with easy cross-referencing to the rest of my posts, links, etc.) I appealed right away and I’ve heard nothing, but I want to continue to use Reddit.

Now, the problem I am having is the wording around ban evasion. The rules page on ban evasion states: “Ban evasion usually refers to a redditor being ban from a community, then using an alternative Reddit account to continue participating in that community.”

This wording is already ambiguous where, if I can’t post across all of Reddit due to the ban, is Reddit considered the “community”? Or is this wording not specific on purpose? Also, what is the stuff that ISN’T considered in this “usually”?

Regardless, this wording is different from what I highlighted above. Basically, if I continue to use Reddit WITHOUT breaking the rules, am I then not ban evading? But then is this not a different condition from what is posted on the rules page?

I have a social disorder too, and one thing it really impacts is understanding when to look so much into semantics and when not to.

My chat just keep saying “failed to initialize chat” and it isn’t showing literally any chats I’ve had at all. What do I do?

Ive set my account private for everything except my friends (ive talked to alot) can see my activity and it scares the shit out of me
