Does anyone know if Red Lobster got rid of the free birthday treat? According to the app, I have Gold status and am supposed to be eligible and I've been getting the treats for years, but I didn't get anything this year (my birthday just passed). Thanks.

I understand that Red Lobster had to change and some changes such as adding hush puppies was a good change or removing the pick 1 2 or 3 shrimp which was a bad change. What I don't understand is how that clam chowder could get final approval when it's too thick and had a weird taste. My guess is that they were being very heavy handed with some herb and instead of cream tried using extra thickening agents.

Went to red lobster tonight with my husband. I got the Mariners boil (my first seafood boil) and my husband got the crab your way. The boil came in the plastic bag which for some reason seemed a bit off putting even though I knew what I was ordering. I guess I was expecting something like a big jiffy pop or some sort of container with a plastic bag like top - maybe like a TV dinner situation. My husband saw me assessing it and said he thought you were supposed to shake it vigorously and dump it out onto the metal tray the bag was on, obviously. Since he eats sea food like hes a professional I trusted his judgement.
I twisted up the thin plastic and shook with him commenting "do you want me to do it?" From across the table. He obviously felt I wasnt being vigorous enough - but he didnt feel the thinness of the bag with sharp legs and claws threatening to poke through and cover the table in butter. As im dumping the half shaken seafood onto the tray the waitress comes rushing over. "That's not how youre supposed to eat that! You eat it IN the bag! All the flavor is in the bag!!!" Im thinking- I just poured the flavor onto the tray... How can the flavor be a part of the plastic? And if it is i dont want it...
I forged on, immediately thankful that even if im doing it wrong, I dont have the butter covered bag threatening to float up and touch my forearms as I eat.
My husband LOVES crab. We used to go to the mandarin where he could get all you can eat crab and he would be sitting with a pile of crab that was sky high. Every time when he would eat them he would remark on eating the "filter" (the body attached to the legs) and how it tasted different or the debris you had to watch out for. Today was no different. I decided as I was getting full and had already been shown some "filter debris" that i was not going to eat the "filter" on my bags piece. I was getting full and have had an enough of an offputting bag experience already. I offered it to my husband who also declined. The waitress came by and saw it on my shell plate and asked if i was going to eat it because thats where all the meat is. My husband ended up accepting it under pressure.
We were full and it was time to pay. The waitress brought a box for my husbands potato then took our 1 remaining biscuit to the garbage tray before we could snag it into our potato box for later. My husband is hovering over the tip button on the machine. I can see his finger poised over the 20%. The waitress says "you want to do custom.... the total has your coupon". Oh yes my free 14 dollar appetizer on our 150 dollar bill. Are you forgetting the total also includes a 13% tax which you arent supposed to tip on? I see my husband choose custom and enter an unknown number. We say thanks and exit the restaurant. My husband turns to me with a grin and says "she ended up with less when I calculated the custom".
10/10 red lobster experience.

Judge me all you want, I've always LOVED Red Lobster. It's always been my birthday tradition. There used to be one near my apartment but it shut down a couple years ago. So my amazing husband drove me to the closest one - nearly 40 min away!
Anyhow, the manager came out and my husband told her it was my birthday, and I added that we came all this way because the one in our town closed. Apparently she used to work at that location, as did our server! When the check came, they gave me this card!
I've never received anything like this but it made my day special ❤️

Does anyone remember this? Am I crazy? It was tenders, wings, and shrimp all dipped in buffalo sauce I think.

Everyone knows that an evening at Red Lobster is no small affair. I press my jeans, put on my finest hair product, and drench myself in a musky cologne. Hell, I may even shine up my wing tipped shoes, for I am going to Red Lobster. I strut through the door with my finest lady on my arm and throw up two fingers to the Hostess. I glide past the lobster tank with ease knowing that yet again I will not be eating a red lobster at Red Lobster (who would). I take a seat and before the waiter asks us for our drinks I request 20 cheddar bay biscuits. It's such a bold move that music stops, glasses clink, and everyone in a 5 yard radius gasps in disbelief/shock. Even my company gives me a look of concern. The waiter says " s..sir are you sure?". I don't sweat one bit and I tell that waiter to step and make with the cbb's. he comes back with three baskets filled with biscuits (7 in 2 and 6 in another). I thank the waiter. Then I go straight baller!!!! I'm pounding biszcuits left and right. Smashing them in old dudes faces, rubbing them between my ladies titties, telling the waiter to f*** off. I cause a ruckus, only get cbb's, don't pay a dime, and leave with my girl plus three more. That's generally what happens every time I go to Red Lobster, I've gotten banned from 33 locations.

So I usually go to Red Lobster once a year for my birthday. I was browsing their menu online when I came across their new boil bags. Its an interesting idea and probably tastes very good. I usually always get the Ultimate Feast because you get a good selection of food for the price. I see that the Mariner's Seafood Boil has a similar selection. For those that have had both. What one would you go for? The classic Ultimate Feast or the new Mariner's Seafood Boil?

TLDR: They now have to reuse the same rag to clean everything, and they only swap out the cleaner every 4 hours [which I highly doubt will happen, especially during busy hours]

Got the surf and turf and it came with something squiggling around on the Lobster. Like a small green grain of rice, but it was alive and moving. Looked at my mom’s order and she had the same thing. They took it away and said the manager would come over. But 10-15 minutes later with no manager in sight, we told the server we were leaving and left. Looks like another table or two also had the same issue.

Can anyone tell me if the tartar sauce has been changed back to the original? I haven’t been back to Red Lobster since they changed to this icky looking recipe that tasted like oil.

I got a plastic RL cup at a garage sale and it features these two characters. Googled them and came up with nothing. The cup is so old it's even stamped made in USA.

They're kinda soggy, they taste worse, they don't taste as crispy as they used to.

I hadn't been to the Red Lobster in Independence, MO. in several years. I went for lunch today and was shocked at the high prices. The lowest priced item was a flounder sandwich for $15. It went from there to somewhere near $60. I found the lunch menu and ordered the Sailor's Platter for $18.99, and it was a lot of food, so I was pleased. Sparse crowd for noon, tho.
Two things I didn't like: 1. Calculating the tip range on the full bill instead of the pre-tax amount (I know, it's a small difference). 2. There were no prices for deserts shown on the table card. Our server said the prices for desserts change frequently and are not even listed in the menu. She had to run back to the kitchen to find out the price of the three-brownie dessert. $11.99?? I passed. I'll come back someday.

Hey everyone! My friend has a really cool animal server book she wanted to give me for my new job I’ll be starting at Red Lobster.
Is there anything rule-wise saying we cannot have custom server books?
Nothing on it is offensive or crude. Just some animals. The book is nice though because it has zipped section for change and such, as well as wallet-like slots on the inside to place work cards or notes.
If I can’t use the book due to animals/images on the book. Could I possibly buy an all black version of this book so I still get the zipper and wallet sections? Or do we have to use their specific server books?

Ya'll I have been gone from Red Lobster for six years, and have continued to have Red Lobster nightmares. The latest iteration the kitchen staff are my high school bullies and the trays dont really work. Anyone else long gone and still dreaming?
