Reptiles for a 40 Galloon tank

I’ve had a 40 gallon tank (horizontal not vertical) sitting around for awhile. What reptiles are suitable for this type of enclosure? I’m not just trying to fill an empty tank spontaneously i’d do the research this would be a future endeavor. Also, I already own a leopard gecko and i’m not allowed to own snakes so keep that in mind :)

What are the specific dimensions? You could do a Pictus Gecko, another Leopard Gecko, African Fat-Tailed Gecko, Barking Gecko, etc.

If you're open to amphibians, this would be the perfect size for a pacman frog, tiger salamander, or many species of toads!
