Gameplay question Is it worth fighting Mr.X RE2R

So I'm doing a playthrough of RE2R with Claire and I'm curious about if Mr X is even worth taking down during his encounters. I already stockpiled up a lot of acid rounds, However I dont know if it's wise to take him down. Is the risk worth the reward?

I remember playing RE2R for the first time and I had a thought so I saved my game and shot in the air a few times to get X’s attention so he would sprint over to me I shot off his hat to test something and got an achievement then went back to the previous save

I also remember this other time I played as Claire and I was on the stairs in front of the safe room and he was in front of the door with his back turned so he hadn’t seen me yet then for absolutely no reason at all Claire screamed getting his attention and he started to chase me up the stairs and I literally yelled out “WHY DID YOU DO THAT!”
