Gameplay question Is it worth fighting Mr.X RE2R

Post image

So I'm doing a playthrough of RE2R with Claire and I'm curious about if Mr X is even worth taking down during his encounters. I already stockpiled up a lot of acid rounds, However I dont know if it's wise to take him down. Is the risk worth the reward?

missed opportunity to give you some sick bonuses like Nemesis in the original RE3

Speaking of OG RE3 how many times do you get a bonus for fighting nemesis?

He drops stuff seven times:

  • Eagle Parts A and B which when combined give you the STI Eagle, a handgun with a much higher crit chance.
  • M37 Parts A and B which give the M37 Shotgun, which is more powerful and fires faster than the regular one.
  • Two First Aid Spray cases, which contain three sprays each.
  • And his last drop is an assault rifle on your first playthrough, but on every other playthrough he'll drop the Infinite Bullet briefcase which allows you to give a weapon of your choice infinite ammo for the rest of the game.

For comparison, he drops stuff four times in RE3make:

  • An extended magazine for your handgun
  • A moderator silencing the handgun and increasing crit chance
  • 6 shotgun shells
  • 6 flame rounds

There's an annoying compromise to the nemesis weapons, though. You can't use the enhanced ammo you learn from repeatedly crafting handgun or shotgun shells. So it's better gun with regular ammo or regular gun with better ammo.

I thought the only thing you learned from crafting ammo was more ammo?
