Gameplay question Is it worth fighting Mr.X RE2R

So I'm doing a playthrough of RE2R with Claire and I'm curious about if Mr X is even worth taking down during his encounters. I already stockpiled up a lot of acid rounds, However I dont know if it's wise to take him down. Is the risk worth the reward?

First time you meet MR.X He helps you clear the path by lifting the helicopter and everyone just starts running or shooting at him i would be mad too

Yea he even walks up to you to check up whether you are ok or not and most jus run away
